I had a bag that looks identical from Novel Outdoors for $65 bucks, and I can say with confidence they got the design from Kast King, BUT there is NO COMPARISON to the Kast King Bag. It's simply amazing and a bit bigger allowing for loads of storage. This bag is a tad larger than the other bag I have, but MUCH better quality, and the aluminum back support keep this bag comfy on my back and always standing tall from the bank. It was worth every penny. You can hold up to 8 3600 tackle boxes in it if you want! 4 on top 4 on bottom. The rod holders I customized a little by adding velcro to extend what they can hold, and it holds my net perfectly. The other rod holder holds my scale and fish lip grips. As rod holders they work just fine, no complaints but I wanted to use them differently and it just works. I have nothing bad to say about the bag. Wish I bought this bag to begin with. You will not be disappointed if you get the aluminum back support version. 100% would buy again, and I might for my saltwater gear so I can ditch the old school tackle box altogether.

I was needing a backpack to carry my kayak tackle in. Most I looked at were too small. This pack has plenty of room. It comes with 4 boxes and there's still plenty of room for more. There's sunglass holders, plier holders, a spot for bagged baits and still plenty of storage for some light rain gear. Seems like the build quality is good, straps are sturdy. This would also be good for any walk in fishing trips.

I just picked up this fishing bag last week. I ordered the Bait Boss and this one (Bait Boss Pro) and ultimately decided the Bait Boss Pro was better. I like the reinforced spine that this one has compared to the standard Bait Boss. Without the spine, the bag became very bottom heavy and uneven against your back, sort of..leaning forward away from you? It felt weird. The material and build quality seems solid and it has a lot of room for everything I need, completely replacing my tacklebox. I'm excited to take this out in a few weeks. I'll update if it doesn't meet expectations.

Love this bag. Has plenty of pockets and storage. Came with 4 boxes which aren’t great but a nice compliment for the purchase. Love Kastking only brand I use! Great inexpensive bag compared to other name brands.

Like most fishermen I like gear. I have a sling from kastking but have have a Orvis and Umpqua sling pack as well. I have a Patagonia waist pack and fishpond chest pack as well. I have been using a 5.11 tactical backpack when I needed to haul out lots of gear and this bag is to replace that. I also have a coho box from Costco which is great but not practical to hail around. This works a lot better than the backpack I have. The frame helps keep structure and the fact the pockets don’t fully open stops items from dumping out. The molle on the 5.11 pack is nice but it’s all on the front so when you load it up it’s heavy and the zippers struggle with the weight when half open. This bag does better because it’s half molle but the side areas for things like water bottle helps a lot. I used to worry about not buying more mainstream brands but the items I have from kast king have been okay at a lower cost. My Umpqua and Patagonia slings were nice but neither had a shoulder pad so I end up using my cheaper kastking because it doesn’t hurt my neck/shoulder. The bag is bulky and good for a beach, boat or pier but would not head out on a hike with a big pack like this.

This is a pretty solid fishing backpack. Plenty of compartment for tackle and equipment. The plastic tackle boxes are fantastic and store in the bottom of the bag with a flap that opens in the front. It offers a better way to access lures without having to dig them out from the top which is normally packed to the point of having to take everything out. The built in sunglasses holder on the top with a super soft interior is a nice touch. There is also all sorts of carabiner loop for extra carrying capacity.
