Very familiar with this aerator. It’s only our 3rd unit in more than 20 years. We have an old 1/2 acre spring fed farm pond with lots of organic debris building up from the bottom and growing on the surface. NY doesn’t allow us to do anything that is chemically effective to control the algae or pond weeds so the aerator helps to aerate, disperse vegetation and agitate the water to greatly improve the appearance and health of the pond. Help keep down algae in my pond. I had another brand that was made to run 24-7, it stopped running at a year and half, only ran it eight hours per day. I hope this one works better than the other.

Works as stated although it does not get into the nooks and crannies of our 1 acre pond. Out pond is in need of serious cleaning but this at least keeps it smelling better than before until we can get all the overgrown weeds and duck weed out. Looking forward to how it will keeps the duck weed at bay after a good freeze. ... show more
