Good for a beginner safe at the price. Single wall construction so it will be difficult to customize the interior. I should have measured, not deep enough or wide enough for an Amo can to sit flat. The gun shelf could be an inch lower and the hand gun divider doesn’t allow for a light to be mounted on your gun. With that, it is good for what I need.

I received this gun safe today. I outgrew my prior gun safe. Overall first impression is very good! Item arrived extremely well-packed. I love the compact footprint, it fits nicely in my bedroom closet and isn't in the way at all. The only "improvement" I felt the need to make, is because the door is a bit rattly when closed. I solved this easily, by installing a few self-stick felt pads in the channel that the door fits into. Problem solved, and also the door now closes softly instead of metal-on-metal. The only question I have is about the LED light. How does it turn on? I thought it's supposed to turn on automatically when the door is opened? Other than that minor issue (which is probably user error) I'm happy with this purchase. It's not a true fire-proof safe, which are much heavier and more expensive. This one fits my needs perfectly. If your main objective is to keep your guns and family safe, I highly recommend it! Edit to add - I figured out the LED light. It activates when you open the safe via the keypad. If you open the safe with the key, the light does not activate. I am fine with this, as I will usually use the keypad. To give you an idea of the storage capacity, I am currently storing a snubnose 38 in the upper door “holster”. A larger 9mm pistol in the lower door holster, but flipped 180 degrees otherwise the door won’t close. Two rifles in the main vertical area, with room for one or two more. And then a large revolver on the top shelf, laying on its side, as it’s too long to fit as shown in the item photos. So yeah it’s a bit cramped but I knew that when purchasing. It’s a compromise based on my limited space for a safe.

The Karini gun safe, has exceeded my expectations, being able to use a key or the keypad has been a nice touch. The adjustable shelf, ammo storage compartments also really allow you to make great use of all the space the safe has to offer. Also the LED light, allows you see in the case in the dark with out having to turn on a bright light. The locking mechanism feels very secure and doesn’t feel like its going to wear down over time. The overall black finish also makes this safe look nice and will blend in anywhere. The overall shipping of the unit allowed it to arrive safely and securely. Overall I think this is a great purchase and will be a nice addition to my garage.
