I got this karaoke machine with the intention of using it for candidate speeches, parades, and fundraising. Since it's been cold, no parades. We haven't really gotten into the heat of campaigns yet, so no chance for speeches. We tried this out at a Super Bowl party. It was truly a hit, receiving rave reviews with people wanting to know where I got it! My son showed me how to pair this with phones. We found that his Pixel 7worked much better with the machine than my iPhone 15 Pro Max. My iPhone worked fine with it, but his Pixel was easier to pair it with. Once paired, we tried out the music function on the Prime music app. Luckily, he had his own playlist, because no one at the party wanted to really listen to old people's music like mine. Bummer. This karaoke machine came with two really nice microphones. I also got a microphone case (not included) to make it easier to protect and transport the microphones. It was fun watching people dancing on the couch while watching football. The lighting is really nice and is very customizable. We found that the base was very nice and deep sounding. My son said that the tweeters and woofers were very nice sounding and had good balance. We found the clarity of the music to be very good! This unit goes really loud, so loud that it hurt my ears! That must be because the peak power is 800W. I found that the karaoke machine sat without use for over six weeks and still had nearly all its charge. With that charge, it played music at the party for over four hours. That's incredible for any electronic device! One of the guests took a microphone outside to see how far the signal would carry. Outside in the cold, the signal reached clear to our road that is about 40 yards from our house where the karaoke machine was placed in a window insight of a microphone. That's really impressive that it could receive a signal from the microphone so far away. This karaoke machine supports Bluetooth, has a USB port, a AUX port, and a place to plug in the microphones. You can play FM music, and use it as a speaker for speeches. This is such a well built and easy to use machine! Recommended for hours of musical fun. This karaoke machine charges fast and keeps that charge for a long time, until you're ready to use it. I can't wait to see how it performs at parades. My previous Bluetooth devices weren't loud enough to really hear anything over the tractors and cars pulling floats at the parade. This unit has much more powerful speakers and will really make a difference. Recommended!

The Marengo Bluetooth Speaker has far exceeded my expectations and has quickly become the star of every gathering! Right out of the box it was almost fully charged but I charged it up all the way before using it just to be sure. Right away our impressions were that it was super impressive for its price level. The sound quality is incredible—loud, crisp, and powerful, with up to 800W of max sound that easily fills both indoor and outdoor spaces. The bass hits perfectly without distortion, even at higher volumes. The built-in RGB light show adds such a fun party atmosphere, especially at night—everyone loves it! One of my favorite features is the two wireless microphones included. They pair easily and make this an instant karaoke machine. We’ve used it for birthday parties, game nights, and backyard BBQs, and the mics work flawlessly with no lag or static. The battery life is also very impressive. We got close to 12 hours of continuous play on a single charge, which is perfect for long events. The ambient hiss of the speaker is pretty loud and very noticeable. I highly doubt this is an 800 watt speaker. I have the W-King T12 (370 watts max) and the JBL Partybox 1000 (supposedly 1000 watts) and this speaker doesn't come even close to the power of either of those. To be fair it doesn't have the power (at least in terms of bass) of a Partybox 100. Also at first I thought the microphones were completely missing. They were under the bottom piece of Styrofoam and can easily be overlooked. The light modes and effects are nothing special, and the strobe lights are used on all of the lighting modes, so if someone is sensitive to strobe effects that could be a problem and is worth mentioning. The lights can be turned off. The microphones each paired instantly and I had very little issues of them screeching, I had to be right near the speaker to make them produce feedback. There is separate echo bass and treble knobs for the microphones, as well as volume buttons on the mic's themselves. The microphones sound very echo-y even with echo turned all the way down. There is not much precision in their sound. They very much sound like PA mic's. Now on to the sound of the speaker. When I first turned it on and was playing tracks near 50% volume the speaker sounded quite nice with deep loud bass and an overall okay tuning considering it's a karaoke machine and they aren't often tuned well. There are several EQ modes, with Classic and Rock sounding the fullest and best to me. I spent most of my listening on Rock. I listen to mostly electronic music, trap, wave, phonk, dubstep, rap, and the occasional country Shaboozey track. With extra bass on this speaker can distort near half volume with many of my test tracks I played. With bass off you can get two to three more volume steps before distortion. This is well under 75% volume and it's distorting like crazy with bass off. If you have a song that isn't distorting and you go above to +80% volume the speakers treble starts to get really harsh. The last two volume steps are pure pain. I wouldn't suggest listening to it inside at these volumes, that treble is VERY harsh. The bass ports are on the front. I was hearing bass port noise and the speaker grill rattling on some songs. The woofer is mono while the two tweeters are in stereo, but there isn't much stereo separation at all. This isn't a negative I thought it just worth mentioning. Most speakers like this don't have a wide sound stage. The remote worked okay. Keep in mind that the speaker has separate volume from the bluetooth source, both need to be managed. I would just turn up the volume on the speaker to max and adjust it on your device. I'm pretty sure it reset the volume on the speaker itself each time I turned it off and back on too. If you are going to use this for moderate volume music listening this might be for you. If you are going to use this for an outdoor karaoke event it might do okay depending on the music being played. (Distortion being the main issue). At least outside the harshness of the upper volume levels will be more diffused.

The marengo karaoke speaker is heavy duty in both size and sound with an array of functions that made it everyone's go-to for parties and celebrations. Its size is justified by the tremendous sound it produces - an excellent mid range with crisp highs and impressive bass that filled out every genre of music nicely. Its microphones also sound very good, and dont suffer from the high volume crackles and distortion that alot of karaoke speakers tend to, and the ability to seamlessly switch between music libraries on mobile devices, SD cards and auxiliaries is amazing. There are numerous music related features that make familiar music feel new again and even the LED integration has been given thought and pulses well with playing music. Everything here feels made to enhance a party experience and at its price, its a knock out in terms of value and bang for your buck enjoyment.
