Cast Film is form of vinyl wrap used; casting film will last slightly longer than your normal calendered film, is a little thinner and has a minimum amount of shrinkage compared to others.   • AIR RELEASE DESIGN - Self Adhesive back has air ducts which allow the air to escape during application. Liftable, slideable, and repositionable air-release adhesive sticks with pressure alone. Easy to apply! Water Resistant, Stretchable with heat and it will not leave any residue if removed
  • LIFE - This cast film, with the way it is manufactured has a life expectancy of about 5 years with normal conditions (garage kept). Keeping a vehicle outside year-round open to the elements will shorten this life expectancy by only a little expect anywhere from 3-4 years of life for this vinyl.
  • APPLICATION - This cast film is manufactured in a way were it is easy to stretch, which allows it to follow the curves of the item being wrapped. In addition, the shrinkage is very minimal allowing for sliding and re-positioning steps if need be.

I am an amateur at best, and even I made it look good minus a couple of glue lines that I now know how to handle but didnt at the time. Now they have improved vinyl so much since I attempted my first job in 2020 which was possible but not great at all. I do love this vinyl, its so much easier to use and the air release system is great. Now for the down sides so it looks great from a distance but compared to my wifes Cadillac factory pint it looks like a bad orange peel, it also is not as black and has brown undertones in the sunlight which makes it stand out quite a bit, but unless its in direct sun you do not notice that. ... show more

Not to thin (flimsy) or thick (rigid) which was great right in the middle. Smooth solid color. Not cheap quality. Black goes with everything so very usable. Cut well. Had a small amount of bubbling but I think that was due to me not product.

This film is very brittle, won’t stretch at all without heat. Pulls back everywhere it’s stretched even with vigorous post heating. I have used Vivid and Avery films with no issues but this one is terrible.

This is an excellent self-adhesive car vinyl film. RockRose Ultra Gloss Black Vinil was perfect for a project I'm currently working on. I ordered this product thinking it not only was to be used as a wrap but also as decals since the description stated "decals and stickers". I believe there should be different verbiage as it would confuse most vinyl decal hobbyist. I do like the color of black. It's medium high glossy and is well protected. The release paper is where I noticed it might not be the correct product for my application as it had an unusual pattern under it (not affecting the finished look) but I've never seen pattern on the white paper that's thrown away. It also has almost an oil shine to it but in a nice beautiful way. The issues I ran into was weeding my material and the clear transfer tape would not release. If the description didn't state how it stated decals and stickers then this would be a different review. Great looking product tho and aside from the air bubble struggles I believe it works as it should if you take your time and use the correct tools.
