Out of the box experience The VK60 was shipped double boxed. It was easy to open and to remove the machine from the internal packaging. I particularly like the twin handles as it makes moving the machine very easy Ease of setup Although I am not an Android user, I found the set-up of the system to be intuitive. When I fired up the tablet I was prompted to update the YouTube app, which was easy to do after I logged in using my existing credentials. I am very happy with how easy it was to connect to my eero wi-fi network and start using in under 10 minutes. Ease of use Once I set up the machine, I turned it over to my resident karaoke enthusiast for thorough testing. The quality of the sound is exceptional, and the dual microphones work beautifully together and independently. We even tested and In Ear Monitor set-up and it too worked just as expected. Quality of the product We are very impressed with the quality of the product. It is substantial and well made. It produces excellent sound, and the tablet is bright and responsive. The variety of adjustments and connections that can be used are impressive. We both like this machine quite well. Overall rating Five stars!

I’m a karaoke enthusiast, and I absolutely love this karaoke machine! First and foremost, the sound quality is incredible. Both the bass and treble exceed my expectations. The bass is deep and powerful, while the treble is clear and crisp, making every note come through perfectly. It’s loud enough to fill the room, which makes for an amazing karaoke night! We had a blast using it during our karaoke night yesterday. The machine comes with two rechargeable microphones, which are a fantastic feature. You can easily adjust the microphone volume as well as the bass, treble, and reverb settings directly on the machine. Plus, there’s a separate master volume control for the background music, allowing you to perfectly mix the microphone and music for the ultimate performance. One of my favorite features is the large tablet display, which shows lyrics from YouTube and Spotify. I don’t use Apple Music, so I can’t confirm if lyrics are available there, but it works seamlessly with YouTube and Spotify. The tablet is large, easy to read, and incredibly responsive. The home screen is user-friendly, making it simple to connect to WiFi or Bluetooth and choose from various options like YouTube, Spotify, USB connection, and more. It even has an HDMI port, which is a nice touch! Even when I’m not singing outdoors, I can easily watch movies thanks to the excellent sound quality of the karaoke machine. I can bring it back inside and cast videos to a larger TV in under a minute. This feature is perfect for both home theater and karaoke sessions, and I really appreciate its versatility. Lastly, the quality of the microphones is top-notch. They deliver crisp and clear sound, and since they’re wireless and rechargeable, I can move around freely while singing. I love to dance while I perform, and the sound quality remains unaffected. The first impression when taking this out of the box is this is a solid, well-built, machine and it has to weight to go with it. The machine is on the heavy side but an average person who would take it somewhere for Karaoke should have no problems carrying it. The weight is necessary with the good speakers and solid speaker cabinet to get a good sound. The sound quality is pretty good and there are ample adjustments to tailor it to you personal preference. You can also connect it to a PA System, external speakers, or home theater for even better sound. The two wireless microphones come paired and ready to go. All you have to do is put the battery in them and turn them on. I'm a musician and recording engineer, and I'm a little picky with my mics, but I will say these sound pretty good and are certaily sufficient. If you want to use a different mics you can connect them either wired or wirelessly. The LED light around the speaker looks good and adds to the festivities. You have the option to turn it off if you don't want to use it. There are some areas where I think it could use some improvement. The computer in it seems unnecessarily slow. This device doesn't have to do much as far as computer technology is concerned and at this price point it should come with more modern and faster processors. It takes a couple of minutes to boot up, which shouldn't be a problem but it is unnecesssary to be this slow. Searches take a long time as well. I'm wirelessy connected to a gigabit internet connection and I expect this device to at least come close to the speed of a YouTube search on every other wireless device. This slowness interferes with the festive mood. The touch screen is a nice size and provides a good display but the touch screen functions can be much better if using more modern touch screen technology. I found myself having to go back and correct my text when some letters didn't show up and having to touch a letter several times for it to be entered. There are so many phones and tablets made now with very good touch screens that don't have this problem, so these are things that could have been avoided, especially at th is price point. The placement of the power supply connection seems odd to me bing right on the top in the main control panel. Some may l ike this because it's located with all the other controls and easy to find. I prefer any wires to be out of sight and think it should have connected in the back near the bottom, especially since the power supply cable isn't that long. The cover that comes with it is really light, kind of like a garbage bag. I felt this device should have come with a more durable cover with cutouts for the handles, especially since it's marketed as a portable machine. Also on the subject of portability, there is no place to store the power supply and remote when transporting. When marketed as a portable machine, all items should be able to go in one package/unit that will be transported. It seems to easy for the power supply and remote to get lost when bringing the machine places. Overall it's a good machine but a little pricey and could use those minor improvements, especially at this price point. It does however provide good customizable sound, and lots of features and options for your karaoke source. You can even add additional apps from the Google Play store.
