Unlike similar mats that I own, these DON'T have velcro edges. I find this to be an advantage. Without velcro, the edges look much cleaner. I got this mat for my kids to practice gymnastics at home. I had no idea how perfect it would also be for my baby learning to sit and crawl! We originally got this to replace my old Thai massage mat (more like a futon) and we actually love it even more! It’s lightweight, easy to clean, and creates a comfortable layer for playing on the floor with our baby. It’s too hard for me but my husband even likes sleeping on it.

This fits almost perfectly on a large, rectangular coffee table we have (a very solid, heavy one). We put it there and use it as a therapy table for my disabled 2-year-old son. He loves it and gets very relaxed on it. He loves his exercise sessions on it. Very firm mat but not uncomfortably hard.

I love this mat! It's thick, perfect size for my needs, firm, folds nicely, and really good quality. I was hesitant to buy it since there aren't any reviews and it's expensive, but the mat is really nice. Make sure the measurements are what you want though. I picked this one because it's shorter than the other gymnastic mats similar on Amazon. I use it for my special needs son to play on, but I also use it as a 'bumper' for my son's bed every night. My son's bed is against the wall. I put the mat inbetween the bed and the wall. It's the perfect height and stays put.
