I bought the plate and cup for my recently turned 1-year-old. They are a little bit heavy but I think that's on purpose to have it waited so they don't tip easily. The cup lid is sturdy enough that he can grab it by the straw and the lid won't pop off or leak. This is a staple for our diaper bag. I always make sure to take this for restaurant dining so little one has his own suction plate for baby led weaning. The lid is very secure so I can just pop it on when we’re done eating. I even flip the “turtle shell” over to use as a cutting board/spoon rest for his food.
