Doesn't do mostly anything it says it would do. Hardly ever get sms vibrations or phone calls. I took my watch off to see if the heart monitor worked lol it still gave a heart rate and I wasn't even wearing the stupid thing! So I'm not even sure it is giving an accurate or close to accurate reading. I can say it does pick up what time I sleep and wake up. The step measurement sucks. I am so sure by the end of the day I have done close to the expected amount of steps because I do cardio and walk alot during the day. The only consistent thing about this watch is telling what TIME it is. Waste of money..... ... show more

Decided to make a concerted effort to start small in trying to promote weight loss over time. Great way to keep track of daily steps, set goals and “just a few more” to make your next goal. Learned to use some of the other features over time. Only downside is that the band is hard to remove for charging. Definitely a great value for my purposes. ... show more

It counts steps as long as your arms are hanging but if you are carrying something or holding on to a tredmil handle bar it doesn't count those steps. The loop that holds the excess strap down broke two days after I put it on...In my sleep. So it was a bust i've been using a rubber band to keep it down. I have ordered 4 replacement bands and not 1 have fit this fit-bit. So I would recommend buying a fit-bit that comes with a few bands to begin with, or get something other than these synthetic rubber bands. Get a fabric or metal one, you might have better luck. And the instructions that say it notifies you when you get texts and calls...It has yet to do that. ... show more

Updated Review: strap broke on day 5. I’ve only had it 3 days but all I needed it to do was track my steps and it does it well. It is difficult to get the band off to charge it - I feel like im going to break the USB when I pull it off. But so far it’s fine. Again, only had it 3 days.
