  • I love it!
Style: Metallic Color: Silver Size: 8
I don't like wearing wrist watches, so having a smart ring is PERFECT for me! I love how durable it is, it's easy to clean, and the app that comes with it is GREAT! The tracking on this thing is flawless and it uses light sensors to track my vitals, so it doesn't even feel like a smart device, just a regular ring! It also charges very quickly, so if I'm using the bathroom or taking a shower at home, I just pop it on the charger for 10-15 minutes and it's good for a few days! I only do it daily just to establish a good routine, and I have forgotten before and let the battery get low, but still haven't had the power die on me yet! I can see it being an issue for lifting weights since it's coated in stainless still and a little bulky, but otherwise very comfortable for other forms of exercise! I can also see it being a problem because of the red and green light sensors at night, it might be disruptive to light sleepers in a dark room, but I just keep my hands under my blankets or pillows, and I sleep just fine! It doesn't light up all the time, just periodically throughout the night. If the tiny lights at night might bother you, you can probably put a thick sock or a glove over your hand at night to block the light. I'm personally not inconvenienced by it at night, and I like that I can't feel anything when it checks my vitals (heart rate, blood oxygen, temperature, just to name a few). I wound up subscribing to the app anually because I really liked how easy it was to set up and how thorough its analysis was for my overall health. UPDATE: Recently I noticed the ring was draining too fast between charges and I actually needed to charge it everyday! I reached out to customer service via the app, they asked a few questions, and shipped me another one immediately! It was refurbished, not brand new, but it works like new and I would never have known the difference if they didn't tell me! I keep the old one as a backup just in case since they said I don't need to send it back. I basically haven't stopped wearing the Oura ring since I put it on, and I've used it on long walks, swimming (fully submerged in water), and for general daily activities and it works great! I wash it with soap and water when I wash my hands and take it off to give it an.wxtra good wipe down before popping it on the charger or putting it back on! ... show more

  • Best investment I made in years for my well-being! Best investment I made in years for my well-being!
Style: Metallic Color: Silver Size: 8
MI have only been using the Oura Ring 4 for about four months, and it has completely changed the way I understand my body. As a woman, the cycle tracking alone has been incredibly valuable. Being able to see how different phases of my cycle affect my sleep, recovery, stress levels, energy, and overall readiness has helped me make much better decisions about work, exercise, and self-care. Instead of wondering why I feel different from one week to the next, I finally have data that helps me understand what is happening and adjust accordingly. The sleep tracking has been especially eye-opening. I thought I had a decent understanding of my sleep habits, but Oura showed me patterns I would never have noticed on my own. The stress tracking has also helped me become much more aware of when I need to slow down, recover, or prioritize rest before I burn out. I previously used RingConn, and in my experience Oura is on a completely different level. The insights are more meaningful, the app is more polished, and the overall experience feels much more focused on helping you understand and improve your health rather than simply collecting data. I know some people hesitate because of the subscription, but honestly, I think it is absolutely worth it. The value comes from the quality of the insights and the way the information is presented. It has helped me make tangible changes to my daily habits and overall well-being. Only four months in, and I already recommend Oura to all of my friends. It is one of the few health and wellness purchases that has genuinely exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for a wearable that helps you better understand your sleep, stress, recovery, and cycle health, I cannot recommend the Oura Ring 4 highly enough. ... show more

  • Amazing data collection… but a very steep price and short life. Amazing data collection… but a very steep price and short life.
Style: Metallic Color: Silver Size: 12
Note: This is a long term review, after owning the ring for 10 months. It disappoints me to have to give this a 1 star review, because when the ring works, it works. It’s very convenient, accurate, un-intrusive to wear, and gives you a ton of valuable data, especially related to your cardiovascular system. But, out of the blue about 10 months into my ownership, battery life has cratered, and even when it doesn’t run fully discharged, it has randomly started disconnecting, meaning it’s not harvesting the data that I expect and want it to, and even worse, without full days of data, it won’t build any trends, meaning the limited data it does collect is useless. Reading online it seems I am not the only person experiencing this disappointment. Oura’s customer service is non existent. I have yet to figure out how to get in contact with a human there. All their customer service is routed through “Finn” their AI assistant. After trying everything that “Finn” has recommended numerous times, and getting nowhere, it would be an understatement to say I am frustrated. One of “Finn’s” suggestions is to fully wipe the ring and app from your phone and reinstall it, and if that doesn’t work, the implication from the system is that it will then elevate it to a customer service rep. The issue with that is when you do that, a hard reset and reinstall, the record with “Finn” also seems to go with it, so the system will never engage a human, it comes across almost like it’s intentional firewall in their service. I am coming up on my 1 year membership renewal. I am at the point where I need to decide if I need to make the $72 annual investment again. I would gladly spend that again, but I’m not really looking at a $72 investment. Given my current ring performance, this means buying another ring. Between the membership and a new ring, with taxes, shipping, etc, etc, etc that’s a near $500 investment; and since it only made it 10 months, that really means it’s effectively closer to $600 a year. Battery powered wearables have a limited life; I went into this understanding that, but, I don’t think that after less than a year of usage, going from ~5 days of battery life and collecting non-stop data to less than 24 hours of life with random crashes is in any way acceptable. Apple or Garmin or Google would have mass recalls or replacements on their hands if their wearables behaved like this. Good health is priceless. The ring helped me tremendously in my fitness journey. I have lost over 65 lbs with its help. At this point, however, given I have hit and am maintaining my weight goal, and from my current experience as well as based on what I read from others online, I refuse to spend any more money with Oura, simply because of their poor customer service and poor product life. My final thoughts: the ring makes your fitness journey significantly easier. Data is king when you’re committed to self improvement. For that, I give it 5 stars; but if you buy one, understand that it most likely will not make it to a year without some sort of collection or battery issue. You have to decide for yourself if $500 for 10-ish months of data is a fair price to pay. ... show more

  • Accurate tracking and great quality smart ring
Style: Metallic Color: Gold Size: 8
I’ve been using the Oura Ring 4 daily, and I’m very impressed with its design and functionality. It’s lightweight, comfortable to wear all day, and doesn’t feel bulky at all. The health tracking features are very detailed, especially sleep and activity insights, which have helped me better understand my daily habits. The app is easy to use and provides clear information. The finish in gold looks elegant and high quality. One important thing is to make sure to measure your size correctly before purchasing, as the fit is very important for comfort and accuracy. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this smart ring and would definitely recommend it for anyone interested in health tracking in a minimal and stylish form. ... show more

  • Lower stress, better sleep, key insights on health and wellbeing
Style: Metallic Color: Stealth Size: 11
I’ve owned mine for just over a year and wanted to wait before posting a review. I wasn’t in the market to buy a device like this, but I had some FSA money I needed to spend. Now, I don’t want to go a day without it! I used to prefer only using Fitbit, but this is much more convenient and accurate. The cons: a little bulky as far as a ring is concerned, so it has caused me to form a callous on the finger where I wear it most frequently. On top of the up front cost being significantly higher than my Fitbits, there’s a monthly subscription fee for the app and the ring is useless without it (no screen on the ring means the only way to see the info is via the app). Pros: much more convenient, comfortable, helpful, and insightful than my Fitbits. I have to charge it maybe once a week for an hour or two. There’s no screen to break or clock faces to purchase. No complicated or useless extra features, apps, or poorly routed Bluetooth phone calls. The data measured is presented by the app in a useful and insightful way. Example: when it measured an increase in my basal body temp, it combined that with other info to inform me that my cycle was about to start. Example: It gives a readiness score which tells me how much energy I should plan on having that day and suggestions for increasing my score. While it’s not a continuous or on demand monitor for things like temp and blood oxygen, it does measure and track them which is not something my Fitbit could even do. It is also pretty accurate at detecting when I fall asleep and when I wake up (even if it’s for a snack at 2am), and how well I slept. Best part- I forget I’m wearing it most of the time. The ring just stays on my finger- even when I shower or swim or cook or clean so there’s very little interruption to the info it’s gathering. ... show more

  • Smart ring useful for tracking some health stats, but many you may already have on your phone.
Style: Metallic Color: Silver Size: 11
This version of the Oura works OK, but I probably won't renew my subscription. I purchased this mostly to track my sleep. I'm not a runner or much of an athlete these days, and all of my exercise tracking can be handled by my phone and watch for the most part, but they need to be re-charged daily, so I can't really track my sleep unless I want to carry around multiple chargers. I thought the ring would solve this issue, and for the most part it does. Sleep tracking is accurate for the most part, but since I frequently nap or have my sleep interrupted by life, the ring doesn't always pick up on my catnaps or understand that I went back to sleep later in the night. My main issue with the ring is the comfort. The ring sizer said I was size 11, but the sizer and the ring are not made of the same material, so I would recommend getting a half size larger, if that were possible. The ring is also thicker than many rings so I find it annoying between my fingers. I rarely forget that it's there, and I frequently find myself fiddling with it during the day. Setting up the charger is needlessly finicky in my opinion, since you have to line up the dimple with the light on the charger or nothing happens. Fortunately the LED lights up when you get it right, but it's slightly delayed. This is a minor issue, since you get used to the process soon enough. I really despise proprietary chargers. My other complaint is the lack of notification about the battery level. I think twice I went a couple of days with a ring that had no charge and didn't notice it, so I lost those days' data. Maybe this is a me issue and not an Oura issue, so I may have to look into changing the settings somewhere. This would be a better product with a longer battery life and a thinner band. It does track my sleep well enough, but it seems like a lot to pay for the subscription if that's the only feature I'm using. Another issue is one I had with a smart band I had previously and returned. You have to look at your phone to find out anything, and once you're on your phone you have all the other distractions at hand. If the lights on the inside of the ring could be used for information, this might be a better choice for me. ... show more

Style: Metallic Color: Silver Size: 5
Overall, I love it. I’m gonna break down my review as to why I love it and based on what you’re looking for in a smart ring to determine if this is a good fit for you. First, appearance. It doesn’t look masculine and is fairly scratch resistant. With any jewelry, you’re going to have a little scratching on the underside if you do anything with your hands. There’s plenty of protection options if that’s something you want to look into, but honestly I’ve had minimal scratching and it doesn’t bother me. It fit closer to my actual ring size, but you need to get sized to figure out your actual size. Oura offers a $10 you can order, but I personally just went to Best Buy and got my size off the display there. I believe Target also has sizers in the Oura display. But you do need to get fitted to know if the sensors are at an optimal location for best readings. Next category is App Quality. I really like the app and the reliability of the data it provides. I am not a super intense workout person, so it is perfect for my low impact workouts. I’ve heard people say it doesn’t provide accurate HR readings in higher intensity workouts, I see some improvement for that as you can have it track live HR data. I know a lot of people complain about the subscription and I just want to clarify that because I looked at that myself. The annual subscription is $69.99, monthly is $5.99. You can use the tracker without a subscription, however it gives you very basic data feedback. It tracks the basics, but does not give you pointers for improvement or how to better your scores. With the subscription, you’re not only paying for the insights, but you’re also paying for the access to Oura Advisor, the AI integration that can give even further insights to the data you have logged in app and the feature to simply take a photo of a meal for meal logging. Women’s Health: I personally like it. I have used Apple Health for many many years so it’s my primary for reliability in start dates, but I like the detailed data with Oura. I think with further use of the Oura I might 100% convert to it but for now I can’t decide which I like better. Given my current medical, this is a fantastic tool for me. Tags has been the best way for me to tie symptoms to more probable causes rather than wondering and guessing or assuming. I was most drawn to that feature, but you have to remember to add the tags for it to be most effective. If simple tracking without a bulky smartwatch is more what you’re looking for, this will definitely do that for you but cheaper alternatives can do the same if you’re looking to save some money. If you have more complex medical and want the data insights to your health and be more in tune with your body, you want the Oura ring with a subscription. The good news is that you can actually use an FSA / HSA for both the ring and the subscription. Mine gave me almost no trouble as far as documentation when I purchased them. ... show more

  • Perfect 30th Birthday Gift — He Never Takes It Off
Style: Metallic Color: Silver Size: 8
I bought the Oura Ring 4 as a gift for my son’s 30th birthday, and it turned out to be one of the best presents I’ve ever given him. He slipped it on the day he opened it and has worn it every single day since. In fact, he loves it so much that—with his spouse’s blessing—he even replaced his wedding band with it. The accuracy and depth of the health tracking really impressed him. With over 50 metrics, including sleep, activity, stress, and heart health, he’s constantly discovering new insights about his body. The Smart Sensing feature adapting to his routines has been a huge plus, giving him reliable, continuous data without him having to think about it. The battery life is another standout. Getting up to 8 days on a single charge means he rarely has to take it off, and the fact that it has no screen and no vibrations makes it feel more like a sleek piece of jewelry than a gadget. He says half the time he forgets he’s even wearing it—until someone compliments it. ... show more
