This toy is well made and quite sturdy. I adopted a blind kitten a few days ago and he can’t follow a laser pointer or typical ball toys. After attaching the toy’s connector to my shower curtain rod, I gave kitty just the toy mouse part to sniff and play with 1st. Then, I pulled back on its elastic cord, releasing it. Surprisingly, he immediately followed the sound of the toy zipping through the air/ knocking against the tub. Wish I could give more stars!!! Now, it’s his favorite toy! He runs holding the mouse then releases it and follows the sound over and over again. Too cute! Plus, he’s exercising and entertaining himself on his own, even when I can’t be with him.     • Good for energetic cat, but won’t last long.

I have an overly energetic cat, who tends to destroy the house when he’s restless. This toy has been a huge help. I have it hanging off the ground enough that he has to jump to reach the mouse. It does wonders for him to burn off all that energy. I removed one star because we have gone through two in about 6 months. I don’t necessarily blame the product, since he does play with them pretty hard. But the mouse came off of both within a day. I simply just re-tied the mouse to the end by the tail. The reason we are on our second one is because the elastic didn’t hold up for long on the first and eventually stretched all the way out. That being said, I’ll keep buying these. My cat loves them, I love that he gets a lot of good play in. So it’s a win-win overall. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My kitten Gerold was trying to grab it out of my hands before it was even set up, and has been playing with it all afternoon. My older lady, Rajah, was even tempted by it for a minute, and she has no interest in 99% of toys. It's not super high quality or fancy, but it gets the job done well. Edit: It broke after 2 weeks of CONSTANT play. My kitten woke me up crying and leading me out to show me that it had broken, and is clearly upset. Honestly I'm kinda surprised it lasted as long as it did with how hard and constantly he played with it and the mediocre quality. I've ordered him 2 more so he'll have a backup when the next one breaks and he won't have to wait for shipping. I should also add that I recommended it to my mom, and her kittens liked it for like 20 minutes and then lost interest, so it's not some magical cat you or anything. I saw the videos of all the cats going crazy and thought I would try this one out. I hung it up over an open hallway and my cat went bananas!! He didn’t stop playing with it until he was panting! And he will randomly run over and play with it, def a great purchase!! I gave 3 stars though because it broke within the first week. I don’t think the bungee material is very strong. He had the mouse off it within the first week. So I tied it around the mouse and re-hung it .. next the bungee cord broke, so I had to tie it again…. The cord has broken a couple times since then and now it can’t be used… for the price, I will order another one because my cat loves it so much, but I will most likely add a stronger bungee cord on it when the new one breaks. I do recommend this product!! (Just know you might have to replace the bungee cord or do a little rigging if your cat is pretty active with it) ... show more

This was amusing for both my cat and myself. I got a lot of laughs watching her play with it. She did finally break the elastic string but it lasted longer than I though. The only downfall was the piece that is supposed to fit on the door moulding, did not fit mine. It was an easy fix though.

King george, the cat, LOVES this toy! It stays on the door frame securely, so he can stretch it as far as it stretches and it won't come off. He is intrigued by the shaking noise of the very real looking mouse at the end of the string. Perfect size the toy has not broken so far and it's been a week so that's good they have gone crazy playing with their new toy ,I only wish their were instructions because I didn't know what to do at first so I just decided to tie it . The only concern I have so far are the little balls in the toy I would like the seller to state that it won't choke my cats incase it breaks open or can say it's tightly sealed or something like that so I'm definitely keeping a eye on the toy or I might just decide to cut it out and sew it up . ... show more
