This safe is great. It is very high quality. It is a good weight to keep it very sturdy. There is plenty of space to store your guns and ammo. The shelves are also moveable so you can organize it to your liking. Was very easy to assemble and the fingerprint works flawlessly every time I use it.

Before purchasing this I looked at both the positive and negative reviews. There were several complaints about it not being a "real" safe, and the fact that it uses self-taping screws to hold it together. Yes, it is not a $3K safe that you would get from Cabela's. I refer to it as a gun locker. It is a good value for the money spent, it is easy to get open and closed using the fingerprint reader, and the parts all fit together properly and the screw holes were perfectly lined up. It is strong enough to keep people from getting into it without having to use tools, and would still be a pain to break into with tools. It arrived in a sturdy package that had plenty of foam to protect the panels during shipping. There were instructions that were relatively easy to follow, and there were no missing parts. A one-person assembly is possible, but is a little tricky. When it is empty and you are doing the top, bottom, and shelf bracket having the relatively heavy door open makes it want to tip over. My biggest problem was since everything is black it is difficult to find the holes for the screws without a light. It comes with foam pads that are designed to let you snug the long guns upright and not hit together. I left those off and just stacked the guns inside and used the shelves for pistols and ammo. The door has a series of pockets. Some are holster-shaped with a hole for the barrel to poke through. I've just left them unused. The biggest problem with the pockets is that if you install the interior shelves, there is not enough room between the shelf and door to use some of the pockets. At the top are three complete pockets that were good for holding magazines. and it would be possible to use the three below them for pistols. Halfway down and to the bottom are the ones that can be blocked by the shelves. This was not a problem for me. The combination and finger scanners were easy to configure, and so far work like a champ. If the should stop working as a few reviews stated, there is always the key. So no, it isn't a fireproof full-featured gun safe. It IS a nice place to secure your firearms to prevent children from getting to them. So I am 100% satisfied and it meets my needs. It is about 80 pounds empty, so I can store it in an upstairs closet without worrying about it crashing through the ceiling.

This falls in the realm of a security cabinet. I feel it is a spacious design for the money saving conscious consumer looking to have some deturance and level of security. It was fairly easy to assemble with one person. I like that the door opens 180, but it could use a little weight in the base if it isn't anchored when opening it or loaded. I would like to know what weight the shelves could hold. The screw driver included i think needs to be one bit size larger or you risk stripping the screws.

This safe is excellent! It was very easy to put together which was surprising and the instructions were easy to follow. Fit right into the spot we needed in the barn. It is more than big enough for my husband collection and the door was exactly what he was looking for with the biometrics and key being available. Almost sent it back right away. Didn’t read assembly required. “ Gun cabinet “ CA Approved. It’s a waste of money if your looking to secure firearms unless there all Highpoints. It’s literally screws and thin sheet metal besides the DOOR. Besides the DOOR 80% waste of money and time to assemble.

Very nice safe overall. Putting it together was all pretty easy, even by myself! The locking mechanism is very easy to work as well. It's a good size and is quite sturdy, hard to move around by oneself.

I bought this safe as I needed a secure place to put my items and keep some things away from the kids. It was easy to assemble, I was able to do it by myself in a short amount of time. I like how the foam rests and shelving are adjustable and removeable so in case I want to switch up the layout. I also bolted the safe to my wall to make it extra secure. The light inside is also a nice added touch.

I will say the safe is the correct size for what I need it for. Have had trouble with it ever since I got it. Have contacted the seller and they got right back to me. Said I would get a 10% refund of which I have not seen as of yet. One part was bent, but I was able to fix that. The big problem was the door handle. It was loose and they said some are like that. This past week the door would not lock. I took it apart and the loose door handle would flex enough that the locking part would bypass the locking solenoid and would open even with it in locking position. With some tape and a channel lock i was able to fix it for now.
