  • Very good guitar Very good guitar
Nice guitar with good sound. Plays good. Size is 40 inch. Good value for money with all the accessories you get with it. I bought and installed a clear pick guard.

  • Great value for acoustic-electric guitar
I am both very impressed and somewhat mystified by this acoustic guitar from Kadence. This guitar has superb workmanship – to the point of being almost flawless with the woodworking and internal bridging. The guitar has a very nice tone – bright and lively. There is so much included in this kit for just $110 including the $10 coupon: Guitar, soft case, extra set of strings, strap, ¼" guitar cord, capo and 3 picks including a soft pick! That's not all, it has a built in electronics package with two hot dot pickups, and a preamp with built-in tuner. Since this guitar sounds so good for the price (which I consider an "entry-level" price for a guitar) I am bewildered by the position of the bridge. There is a lot of work that goes into building a guitar – whether by hand or by automated machines – so why (when there is an obvious amount of work and craftsmanship put into this guitar) is the bridge placed too close to the neck causing the intonation to be sharp? (See video for measurements on a tuner). It makes me wonder if the factory skips doing a precision mount of the bridge on this model, and then does precision mounts on other models that sell for a lot more... It just makes me wonder why would a factory build this guitar at all when for a little more care in mounting the bridge, they could have a really outstanding guitar. If it were double the price it would be a real bargain if it had accurate intonation. Maybe the thinking is that beginner guitars are not supposed to sound as good as expensive guitars so why spend any more time making the bridge position exact? I cannot justify this line of thinking when looking at all the resources that go into an acoustic instrument: All steps should be of equal quality in my opinion. The hot dot pickups are sonically not that great, but with EQ and EFX they can still be useful and made to sound good. On the other hand, if someone were looking for a starter guitar with the idea in mind that you do not know if the person will learn the instrument or not, then this guitar will serve that need quite well since it is priced so low. ... show more

  • Easy to play but not very loud
Looks nice. Built well. Works as expected. Had a very easy to damage finish. Stays in tune well. Good choice for beginner.

  • Great guitar for the price! Great guitar for the price!
Review of Kadence Guitar Acoustica Series (Grand Auditorium body) Semi Acoustic Ash Wood Guitar with EQ, Learning Course- (A06EQN) - Super Combo I’ve been playing guitar for over 30 years. I own a lot of guitars, some cheap, some moderately expensive. This is the nicest inexpensive guitar I’ve ever seen, let alone owned. These are made in India as far as I can tell. The wood used in the lamination is attractive, with a mat finish that allows the wood texture to be visible and felt. The workmanship inside and out is quite good. The purfling and binding looks good. The neck joints are all smooth, tight, and well done. The internal gluing is clean and there are no visible glue blobs. Mine is fairly well intonated, with the harmonics at the 12th fret matching the open notes. The fretted notes at the 12th are off slightly (one bar sharp on my Shark tuner). The frets are smooth and well dressed. No sharp ends, the ends are actually rounded. The walnut fretboard is dark and looks almost like an ebony board (walnut is very strong, but not quite as hard as ebony). The overall look is not cheap at all. Classic design lines, attractive color and high build quality. The guitar is very resonant with tight well balanced deep, mid and high tones. The electronics on mine are very sensitive and allow for good strong volume and with 2 band EQ tone control. The tuner works well. The gig bag is padded, amazing considering the guitar set including the bag is only around $120. There are spare strings (the string gauges are not noted). The strap is okay, but I will likely use my locking strap instead of this one. I’ll leave it in the gig bag. The picks are okay as well, slippery plastic, so I’ll leave them in the gig bag too, incase I want one and don’t have any other. The capo works very well, but is opposite arrangement from what I usually use with the lever aiming up instead of down relative to the fretboard. That arrangement doesn’t seem to have any impact though and it works well. Really nice for the price guitar. ... show more

  • Nice Starter Guitar Set! Nice Starter Guitar Set!
This Kadence Guitar Acoustica Series is great. It comes with everything you need to get started. Great for the amateur who's been playing for a few years or maybe someone that started on a classical guitar with nylon strings. The Grand Auditorium body is nice, as it allows for some more finger play near the lower part of the guitar frets. The Ash Wood is pretty nice, but the visual isn't that great. Aside from that, the wood is actually pretty good quality and the guitar overall is nice. Some pieces use plastic such as the bridge and nut, but it seems to work just fine. There is some very slight vibration near the top E string, but it's not too noticeable. It comes with a guitar strap and I like the semi acoustic style so you can plug into an amp and play. It also has a built in tuner, which is relatively easy to use if you don't have anything else. I still prefer to use the clip-on guitar tuners, but this is fine when you don't have anything with you. The set comes with a carry bag, extra strings, and some guitar picks. It also comes with a capo, but there are definitely better capos with better designs to use. The tuning was easy for me and it didn't go off when playing. For new guitars, there is always a break in period, so keep tuning the guitar and it will eventually get used to it and stick. Great set! ... show more

  • Very solid for the price
I've been playing guitar for 30+ years and have owned 9 electric guitars but never an acoustic. The appearance looks a bit nicer than you would expect for such a cheap guitar, and it feels very solid for a guitar this price. There are no rough edges or finishes anywhere on mine, and though it looks like particle board, it is constructed properly.. The strings are all metal which I love, as some acoustics especially in this price range, use nylon strings for the 4th 5th and 6th strings. It sounds great, and is pretty solid feeling with the neck action. Frets are fine and do not produce too many fret farts that are not your fault. The included case is actually very nice. The only small complaints I have are of coarse the thumb tuners, and you will have to tune it over and over at first. After about your 5th time the strings settle in and tend to stay tuned I do highly recommend this for a cheap starter guitar. Not bad at all ... show more

  • A very nice unfinished guitar front!
This Kadence guitar is just what I needed, a virtually unfinished guitar top with grains and holes in the finish. I spend lots of time in a wilderness setting, I don't want a finish to mar up in the woods or playing on a rock. The back and sides have a nice finish but the front is cool and ready to just be used with out worries about damage. The Kadence guitars have gotten a lot better in recent years. The neck is straight and the action is pretty good. 42.5 inch nut, not sure what it is made of but the cut is nicely done. The C shape neck is pretty good and all the frets can be easily used with that large cutaway. The excellent pickups sound great thru my Marshall Acoustic AS50R amp, no complaints about the sound of this guitar. The included case is not too thick but it is a nice case with straps for carrying the instrument to gigs or to the wilderness. ... show more
