Cleansing Power: This shampoo provides a deep, clarifying cleanse that removes product buildup, excess oil, and environmental residue in just one wash. My scalp felt noticeably cleaner, and my hair had more natural volume at the roots. It’s strong enough to reset your hair without feeling harsh or over-drying. Gentleness & Formula: Despite the deep-cleaning effect, it doesn’t strip the hair. It’s sulfate-free and feels balanced — no squeaky or tangled feeling afterward. It lathers well with just a small amount, and the clean, subtle scent is refreshing without being overwhelming. Compatibility: It works especially well as a prep step before using bond-building or peptide-based treatments like the K18 leave-in molecular repair mask. I’ve tried a few K18 products, and my experience has been mixed. The K18 Detox Shampoo is a standout—it deeply cleanses without drying out my hair, and it really helped clear up product buildup. My scalp felt fresh, and my hair looked noticeably cleaner and more vibrant. The Molecular Repair Hair Mask also lived up to the hype. After just a couple uses, my hair felt softer, stronger, and healthier. It’s lightweight, and I love that it repairs without needing to be rinsed out. Unfortunately, the K18 Peptide Prep Shampoo, Conditioner, and Hair Oil didn’t work for me. They left my hair feeling dry, dull, and lifeless—even after just one use. For the price, I expected better results. Overall, I’ll stick to the Detox Shampoo and Repair Mask, but I won’t be repurchasing the rest.

I usually use scalp scrubs, but this is my first clarifying shampoo, it did the job of cleaning my hair very well. I bought it to use the K18 treatment. So I didn’t use conditioner or mask after. It did make my hair dry but also my hair still have a bit of dryness on the ends from highlights I did a year ago. However after using the mask my hair was good to use, so I guess I will just use this shampoo when am using the K18 treatment mask. Lately I usually have a bit of oily roots after the day I shower as I do make scalp oiling and hair and feel that other shampoos don’t really get rid of all of the oil, so I feel this shampoo is good to use after oiling hair as it really gets all of the oils out. I have a long and very very thick hair and usually my hair takes long to dry but when I used this my hair dryer very fast. I think this shampoo should be used maybe maximum twice or once a month, as it really does what it say it cleans your hair from everything, and it’s a good thing to use before K18 treatment mask. It’s considered affordable for me the bottle would last me for months personally as I would use it twice a month, I think people who have oily scalp should definitely use it more as usually the second day after I put oil on my hair, my roots are oily, but after I used this one it’s not oily at all.

I use this once a week as directed to detoxify my hair, wash away all the layers of buildup from other shampoos, conditioners, other products and impurities. It leaves my hair squeaky clean and does NOT dry my hair out, like other clarifying shampoos. Lathers up GREAT, so not much is needed. K18 products are all on the expensive side, but they are so worth it!
