Ok, so u am in live with this auger set. I no longer have to wait for my husband to dig a hole or spend hours on digging through clay soil. With the longest tool I was able to dig 4 holes (2 gallon sized) in 2 hours and plant the bushes. It may sound like a long time still, but i did not break a sweat and i was not sore or strain my back, shoulders, arms and I did not blister my hands to dig several deep a wide hole I don't know why I didn't find this sooner! I bought this for my dad who continues to have a massive vegetable garden despite getting older every year and making it more difficult for him to do. This drill attachment was a game changer. We finished planting all the tomatoes and peppers in half the time it would normally talk to dig the holes. My only critique is sometimes it would come loose out of the drill but that could've been my fault. Either way it was worth every penny and now I want them for myself. 100% recommend. ... show more

Fits in 3/8” drill chuck but not in nut driver chuck (Makita battery driven drill/nut driver set). Would be good if shaft fit nut/screwdriver as reverse could be used without auger falling out.

I purchased this set to help me dig around, and up, multiple lariope plants along my sidewalk so I can change the landscaping curvature. The largest one in the set is great for making the 2 ft. wide circular holes needed to give the roots ability to spread when planting a tree. The smaller ones are ideal for the holes needed to plant new plants already potted, and "drilling" the soil saves the soil to put back around the new plantings!
