This was the perfect upgrade when my factory stereo burned out in my Toyota Tacoma. Easy to self install with some basic tools (having a heat gun and shrink connectors made a big difference). The only thing I have negative to say is when I'm talking on the phone, people say I'm hard to hear and have an echo. Other than that, the sound is great and the carplay connects very fast.

The radio mounts very solid. The screen is super clear (HD), and detailed. My system even sounded better once installed. Highly recomended!

    • Good radio...but
The radio is a great radio and was installed in my 2010 f150 when my stock radio/nav system died. Love the 10.1" screen. Lots of options which are great and the radio in general looks great in the truck. However, jvc did not make this with an active brightness level. If you are in android auto and use Google maps, you can set the auto day night brightness which is good, but not using the home screen at night. Way too bright and VERY distracting. Cmon jvc, really? Also, going into Android auto and then trying to select and option sometimes doesn't work/select unless you tune radio off and back on with a reboot. I just recently upgraded the firmware (1.7 from 1.4) to the latest as of June, 2023 and it did not fix this issue. Other than these two annoying (bugs) it's a good radio. ... show more
