Installed in a '94 Camry because I wanted Bluetooth connectivity but felt a touchscreen would look out of place in an older car and didn't need all of the Carplay etc functionality. I just connect my Pixel smartphone via BT and do everything on my phone, and it works great! As I have owned nothing but Alpine since 1984 this was a interesting purchase. If you like setting the bass and treble for nearly every song, you are going to hate this receiver... But here is the good. The volume is like a modern car stereo so you don't blow speakers easily, it doesn't have a filter like some, but limits it to a tolerable distortion level at max volume. Its sound quality is poor at low volume, like when talking to someone, but from 1/4 to 3/4 it absolutely has outstanding clarity and quality for when you are driving. It gets a little fluttery when pushing it hard, but definitely does a decent job. Yes a Alpine will beat it for sound quality at max volume, but do you listen to everything at max? Its loud, clean, and with a handful of bass frequencies and treble adjustments it sounds just as good as any Alpine. It just doesn't at low and max volume. I would buy again for the price, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent quality head unit at a cheap price. ... show more

The sound quality / loudness / EQ this radio is pushing is amazing. I "downgraded" from a car play unit and this is astronomically BETTER in Bluetooth connectivity AND quality. The stylish minimal design I can definitely get behind. The CD player is something I didn't think I'd be using but now that I have access to it Ive been jamming out to my cd collection. This is ana amazing unit perfectly priced and rivals many newer models out there. The ONLY CON : This could 100% be installation error but the screen brightness dims and flickers from time to time. Has functions I won't use but it is a great sounding radio and cd player. Easy to hookup. Easy to read instructions only wish I could change the default color from blue to green. It is a great value for the money
