I WISH I KNEW ABOUT THESE SOONER. If I remember, the packaging was difficult to break open, but now I use these suckers ALL THE TIME. My kitten has tried to bite through these, and they still work as normal! I've had these for months, and I will choose this brand anytime over Apple earphones. My favorite part: You don't shove them deep into your ear! I hated how my earwax would get stuck inside my other earphones, and it made me anxious over whether I was letting myself get an ear infection. It also hurt my ears trying to shove the silicone-part of the bud into my ears before. Like the Apple earphones, these don't do that! I don't know if you still need to clean these, but I'm still infinitely happier with these. Sound quality: I bought some cheap $20 Bluetooth earphones (Airpods ripoff), and the sound quality of these earphones are way better than the Bluetooth ones. They're also probably better quality than the Apple earphones too, because I remember at some point one of the sides of the buds gave up on me. Some Apple earphones have glitched out on sound quality also. This hasn't happened for these earphones. The wire length is about an arm's length (a bit longer), so they're convenient for travel and a lack of tangling. They're not noise-proof, but I personally like that because family members barge into my room all the time asking me questions and I'd rather not have to ask them to repeat themselves. ... show more

These are my go-to wired earbuds. The sound quality is pretty good and I personally find them comfortable. Also they come in cute colors. Only wish is that the wire was a few inches longer.

These sound great. They're loud with great bass and clarity. If you're sick of dealing with quirky Bluetooth and buds that won't charge, won't connect, quit working, fall out and get lost - these are the ticket. I mountain bike and I've had to comb the bushes for dropped expensive earbuds several times. Run the cord up your shirt and you're good to go.     • The "Bass Boost" Nubs Make for a very uncomfortable experience.

I normally buy the older, non-bass boost versions of these earbuds, and they've been my go-to for years as it seems most companies have opted for in-ear style buds which I just find very uncomfortable in general. I recently decided to grab the bass boost version since they no longer seem to have the older models in other colors (and the all white earbuds have a habit of getting dirty after awhile). These... are very hard to recommend. The base shape is fine, however the protrusions on these models dig into your ears, making them very uncomfortable to wear for any decent period of time, whereas I can wear the original models for an entire shift with no issue. The additional bass also just... doesn't really feel like it adds anything to the experience. Otherwise, they still sound fine personally. I'm not an audiophile so they served my purposes just fine. I'll likely just revert to buying the older models again or maybe looking for Samsung earbuds as they offer a similar style. If you're fine with all white earbuds, just get the older, non-bass boost Gumy models. They're a couple dollars more expensive, likely due to being end-of-life, but I prefer them in just about every way, and they're still very cheap. ... show more

I've been using these earbuds for several years -- I like them because they sound decent and are not covered in furshlugginer rubber like every other bloody thing that has a cord sold in the world today. I suspect Apple is to blame for starting this trend, but here's a hint to manufacturers if they want to make a quality, user-friendly product: cover the wires in plastic, not rubber. Rubber gets caught and tangled on EVERYTHING. Stop covering cords with rubber. May JVC continue to make these earbuds exactly as they are right now. While they will eventually fail -- all products of this sort are bound to wear out at some point -- these can take a lot of punishment. Case in point: I had my set with me in the car and wasn't using them because I had my iPod plugged directly into the car's sound system. Somehow, the earbuds fell halfway out of the driver's side door. As I drove along, I'd noticed a tick-tick-tick sound and pulled over to investigate. It was the earbuds, dangling from the car, hitting the ground, and bouncing up against the car door. They still work. (NOTE: I do not recommend trying this. Your experience may vary.) If you are looking for noise-canceling headphones or earbuds, these are not they. But it's perfect for me because I very much WANT to hear the sound of traffic as I'm riding my bike. Buy them. They are the best. They are replaceable if you accidentally loose them, break them, wash them, etc, I've done it all over the 10 years ive been buying these. Not like expensive earphones that will have you cursing the heavens if something happens to them. They have GREAT sound for simple earphones and I'm still able to hear external sounds if I place them a certain way/adjust volume, unlike the kind that plug your entire canal. A must if you're a parent or exercising outdoors to stay safe. Beware other sellers elsewhere that sell them for less, there are fake ones out there. I'll never part with my Gumys! ... show more
