I was able tell from the first wash the thickening of the hair really works. Coloring i know can take some time so cannot comment on that but i have used other Control GX which worked acceptable (not perfect) for reducing the grey. For me, some areas just dont seem to want to change color.

I've been using the older Control GX formula for a few years and honestly, unless I used it everyday, I barely saw much change, maybe a bit less pure white. BUT this new formula is very promising, I've only used it twice and have noticed more of a change than if I was using the old formula everyday. This product darkens the hair as advertised; however, they add perfume to it which won't go away even after continued washing. Not clear who's brilliant idea it was to add perfume to a men's hair product but it definitely deters me from using it as much as I'd like.

Why would anyone want perfume in their hair? It must cost money to ADD the sickly fragrance, so why do it? I really can't use this product, its smell is that strong and unpleasant. I wish it were unscented.
