I should have listened to the reviews. This is so thin and makes no difference on my mattress. That said, you get what you pay for and this was super cheap. I’d personally return it if it wasn’t already unsealed and opened.

But once i pulled it out and let it rest it fluffed up nicely. Still not super thick, but it does make a huge difference on my bed. i put it on under my mattress cover and sheets and it stays on the bed. I have to say, nothing drives me crazier than my bedding coming off when i sleep! I have a deep pocket mattress and this thing stays on. Our mattress retains body heat and my husband is a hot sleeper. I didn't have high hopes when purchasing this product, but I was pleasantly surprised! We can both feel a difference and it is exceptionally comfortable! I already liked my bed a lot, now I LOVE it!!!!
