  • Coffee Nirvana
An impressive machine in every way. Looks great, built solid, amazing engineering, and loads of features. My last Jura lasted 13 years and this one might be even do better. It does take some serious time and patience to study the manual, experiment with options, and generally set up the Giga 10 to handle many types of coffee drinks, milk, and hot water. After a day of study, I am happy to say that my coffee drinks pour just right: size, temperature, milk, milk foam, and taste. The milk cleaning system is as superb as is the panoramic display, that once you learn how to use it, it provides a wealth of options and information. Take the time to learn all there is to know about the Giga 10 and you cannot be anything but impressed and glad to have this super automatic coffee system in your home. Do the maintenance when required and it should provide many, many years of service. Yes, it is mighty expensive, but if you are particular about the quality of the coffee varieties you drink at home, it just might be an investment in your happiness. Buying it, like with anything else on Amazon was easy. Delivery in my case was next day by UPS. The vendor was Everything Kitchens. It arrived on time without any sign of box abuse. By the way, even upboxing the Giga 10 is well engineered, if you take the time to look over the boxing system. Impressive. Glad to have this product in my home. And, my friends will be impressed as well. ... show more

  • No a recognized reseller. No warranty
These people are not authorized resellers. The warranty will not be honored. My system failed after 3 months, and Jura will not fix it because a recognized reseller did not sell it.

  • The best when maintained
This machine is top notch. I feel for those who purchased and received units dead on arrival. Ours has been rock solid for over 2 years now. There are cleaning instructions not well shared that must be followed to keep the espresso ground plate clean and porous. It involves reaching underneath with a clean towel with the tray removed. Other than this, it’s a magnificent machine. ... show more

  • Mostly good, with a few issues
We've been Jura users for almost 20 years and this is our third machine, having replaced a Giga 5 that served us very well for 8 years or so. First, the good: if you, like us, prefer to also drink decaf and be able to blend it in with regular pretty much on the fly, the Giga 10 and the models preceding it (5 and 6) are to my knowledge the only options available regardless of brand. They are fantastic machines limited only by the user's creativity in what they can output. You can dial in a virtually endless combination of strength, temperature, blend, size to make a bespoke cup of Joe. The not-so-good: it's no longer Swiss Made like the other Jura machines we've had prior to this. Now it's only Made in Switzerland, which is not the same: "Swiss Made" and "Made in Switzerland" are both labels used to indicate the origin of a product, typically associated with high-quality Swiss craftsmanship. However, there is a subtle difference between the two: 1. Swiss Made: This label is more stringent in its requirements. To carry the "Swiss Made" designation, a product must meet specific criteria set by Swiss law. These criteria often include that a significant portion of the product's value is created in Switzerland. For watches, for example, at least 60% of the production costs must be incurred in Switzerland, and the final assembly must also take place in Switzerland. The "Swiss Made" label is a mark of quality and precision. 2. Made in Switzerland: This label is more general and does not have as strict criteria as "Swiss Made." It generally means that the product was manufactured or assembled in Switzerland, but it may not necessarily meet the same stringent standards as "Swiss Made." Some products that are "Made in Switzerland" may contain more foreign components or have less of their production value generated in Switzerland compared to those labeled "Swiss Made." "Swiss Made" implies a higher level of Swiss involvement in the product's production and is often associated with premium quality, while "Made in Switzerland" is a broader label indicating that the product has some connection to Switzerland but may not meet the same rigorous standards. This is reflective of our experience with the Giga 10; while we had zero issues with the Giga 5 and S9 we've previously owned, the Giga 10 had to be replaced due to various defects three (3!) times since July, meaning in less than 60 days of ownership. The materials overall feel somewhat more plasticky and flimsy too, undoubtedly because of the cost-cutting required to maintain the price point. The MSRP of the Giga 5 from 8 years ago is more or less identical to that of the Giga 10 of 2023 despite years of inflation. The saving element is Jura's customer service; they advance-shipped brand-new replacement machine after machine until we got a good one. We're now on the 4th Giga 10 in 60 days and hope it will be the one to last for the next 8 years or so. Bottom line is, if you need endless customization capabilities that deliver barista-level output, there just isn't a substitute in the super auto realm. Feed it good beans and maintain as prompted by the machine and you're in coffee heaven, day after day. ... show more

  • Won't fit Yeti 20oz tumbler
If you have a Giga 6 beware. The cup the whole office use is the Yeti 20oz Rambler tumbler. It fits in the Giga 6 and not in the Giga 10 because the screen doesn't let the spout go up enough. Plus I appreciate being able to adjust the milk potion on the fly with the wheel. If you are new the Jura and you don't use a mug as tall as the Yeti Rambler, the coffee is great taste. ... show more

  • Where have you been all my life?
I'm a coffee lover. I'll drink almost any coffee--even tolerated the ER sludge when I was an intern. I really got to understand good coffee on a few trips to Italy and quickly advanced to an espresso machine plus grinder plus frother at home. It was a lot of effort, for sure, but it raised my coffee appreciation by an order of magnitude. On a recent trip to Norway I found these advanced machine in the dining rooms at breakfast and had to have one. Tried another brand first (Bosch) and although it made good coffee drinks it had too many flaws so I returned it. Then I moved up to a Jura Giga 10. I've had it for two weeks and I am sure it's the best such machine available for espresso-based drinks. Look up the reviews and they will tell you the same thing. It's an extravagance, for sure, but I like it so much that I bought one for my oldest son who is also a coffee aficionado. He is leased as well. ... show more
