    • Pleasantly Surprised - Good Value
I purchased this for my wife and she absolutely loves this laptop! It is lightweight and has a clear and crisp display. The hinge is one piece which is great as those kinds of hinges tend to last longer (her previous HP laptop had two small hinges below the display and one of them snapped). She likes that this laptop is upgradable and operates flawlessly. We followed the recommendations of others and did not connect to WiFi while initially setting up this laptop. If you do, setup will take much longer as it needs to download Windows updates. It’s much better to let it update when you are not planning on using it such as late in the evening. It has a really nice feel to the keys and and they seems to be very good quality. We never purchased this brand before, but we thought we would give it a try as it was in the price range we were looking for. All I can say is this if the wife is happy, then all is good!!!     • Choked up by Microsoft's Antimalware alone; can't recommend.
I read the reviews before purchasing this laptop and saw multiple accounts of buyers mentioning being able to play various kinds of videogames on this, so I figured this would be perfect for playing simple pixel games like Stardew Valley and Terraria in my downtime. I booted this sucker up and immediately noticed that it was heavily bottlenecked by the computer's own Microsoft Antimalware, which was running the CPU at nearly 75% at any given time. I redirected this problem by downloading Malwarebytes instead, but was still met with some variety of choking when running basic computer processes. So I updated Windows and figured it was time to play some games. As a simple benchmark, I ran Stardew Valley - which is a low-intensity pixelated game, mind you - and was met with lag. LAG from STARDEW VALLEY. I figured something had to be wrong with the GPU, so I utilized Intel's Driver & Support program to streamline the process. The moment I hit the button, the download refuses; it doesn't even give me an error code. A couple days later I was about to reach out to Jumper for advice when I decided to run the update again and it miraculously decided it was ready to download. Once the GPU and Windows were properly updated, I tried doing my benchmarks again. The first thing I did was join a viewing stream on Steam for the Binding of Isaac Repentance. While the video from the stream functioned well enough, there was at least a 5 second delay when typing into the text box. Yikes. I rebooted Stardew Valley to see if my lag issues went away; and lo and behold, they did not. So I tried a few other games just in case there was an issue with Stardew on this device, and as common sense would dictate, a slightly more advanced game like Hades had the frame rate of a late-night European raver dancing in front of one of those 1990's-era strobelights. Big oof. I also had the intention of doing some basic Adobe Illustrator edits on this laptop, but I'm not even going to attempt after the poor luck I've had with VERY simple gaming. Unless you're looking for an email machine and an email machine ONLY, look elsewhere; there are greener pastures at literally every other corner. ... show more

2 weeks in and so far so good. My mother's Laptop started having problems after an update was made and we are having issues getting into the computer. I decided to get this one so she can at least have access to internet to do her bills, etc. It's slightly slow to start but runs great.     • Good value laptop for browsing/videos, I needed a replacement power cord
I love the lightness and smaller size of this laptop (13,3" screen), makes it very easy to take with on the go and just tuck into my binder. I haven't had any issues with browsing, emails, or netflix/youtube watching with this yet, but as others have said, this would not be a good laptop for more serious gaming or computing. Seller doesn't sell a replacement cord. I bent and broke mine just a few weeks into having it and was able to purchase a replacement from another vendor. (I wasn't able to find this answered in the questions or feedback yet, but the Soulbay universal AC/DC adapter multi-voltage with 8 selectable adapter plugs worked for me on size H & 12V, but I'm sure there are other vendors as well that would work). I would also recommend purchasing a miniHDMI to HDMI cord if you like to hook up to your TV; it doesn't have a regular HDMI port.     • Small but powerful
I'm very happy with the purchase, the package came in very quickly. I purchased this computer for my father, he doesn't use many features, he uses for web browsing, youtube, and etc. I helped him to set up after we received this computer, super easy to set up and everything went very smoothly. I'm very impressed with how fast program runs, no problem with browsing. The quality of the image is excellent, it is very clear! This is such a great deal, even though the price is cheaper than what we would normally pay for any other computers, but the overall quality and performance are the same or above than the other ones I used before that’s a lot more expensive than this one.
