My girl loved this bed so much I bought her a second one, so she'd have one in the bedroom and one downstairs. The cover is nice and soft and didn't deter her at all from using it (it's not a noisy fabric or bed in general). The cover is easy to remove and clean, we've had to take it off and wash it once or twice and had no issues with it (no tears, no fading, no damage to the zipper, nothing like that). Can't speak on how resistant it is to chewing since she didn't chew on it, but it holds up to bigger dogs weight and claws just fine. Super easy to put together out of the box, didn't expect it to be so dense when the first one arrived honestly. I love that it has a little pillow side for dogs to lay their heads on, that's super cute. My girl is gone now, but she loved this bed. She was thirteen and a medium-large dog, her other orthopedic bed just wasn't holding up anymore. She moved around from normal beds, her bed, the floor, and the couches a lot, so it just seemed like she couldn't get comfortable. On this one, she was able to sleep on it comfortably for a long time without constantly moving around, tossing and turning, nothing like that. Genuinely seemed to like it. I've also sat and laid on it and it's honestly quite comfy lol. My husband adopted a new dog and he doesn't seem to mind it. He's younger and doesn't need an orthopedic bed yet, so he probably doesn't appreciate the support like she did, but he has warmed up to it and sleeps on it regularly now, so at least another pup gets to enjoy them. :) Well worth the money to me, if not for him, then at least for her, so her last months/year was as comfortable as we could make it for her. I bought this dog bed in 2022. I remove both covers and wash/dry every month or so. Both the mattress itself and covers have held up very well. The mattress has held its shape through all these years with my 106 lb dog using it daily. She’s a Great Pyrenees/Retriever mix couch potato 😊 If I had to, I would definitely buy again! Although I doubt I will have to replace this bed in her lifetime😊 ... show more

I don't really like the material and fabric used to make the cover, its cheap and thin. And there is a plastic removable liner underneath that's not soft plastic. Everytime he steps on it or I do its so loud and crunchy. I think maybe the removable bed cover material plays a role in it being crunchy too. Not a big fan of the cover and liner. So I read plenty of views and some said the memory foam never fully expanded. Ours did that, it never fully expanded and was really disappointed and we heard the fuss trying to return it. The head rest and the bottom part of the bed never fully rose. I read online that cold surfaces stall the natural inflation of the memory foam and left the foam out in a warmer area. It helped a little. Also read that even if the memory foam isn't fully inflated it can be used to lay on and that laying on the memory foam helps it to rise. Airing out the memory foam is supposed to be just for the chemical smell. Alright so we tried that and let him use it as his bed and it's been about 2 months. The entire thing rose!, the headrest and all. So that was great!! He's a couch boy so he doesn't really sleep on it throughout the night. He does sleep on it from time to time but he's not super excited about it. Maybe it's the crunchy plastic liner🤷♀️ we've taken some naps on his bed and it feels comfy. We can't really use this without the liner since the memory will get dirty. Not really enthusiastic about this bed. It's definitely not a whole 7 inches thick. Give 2 inches to the headrest but overall the bed is 5inches thick, which isn't that bad. We have a big boy doggo and he's easily over a 100lbs. He's an American bull dog. I was really worried about the length/width not being long enough for him and it not being thick enough but he does fit on it easily. He has about 1 foot on both sides for extra room, he doesnt take up the whole thing. I think even if you had a great Dane they could use this bed. I've gotten other beds off amazon and the quality of the bed covers were better and the liner was made out of soft plastic so the crunch wasn't noticeable. That's really the only thing I don't like and the fact that he doesn't like it either:/ Was going to consider a bully bed. They are quite expensive but would be worth it since Amazon doesn't seem to have good dog beds anymore. I had purchased good beds from furheaven in the past but they arent the same beds they used to be, the quality of material and thickness of memory foam has gone down and that's why we went with this bed. I very much take beds for dogs seriously as it's important for their bodies. Just not happy with it overall but at least the memory foam finally came out and did its thing. ... show more

I have a 90+pound Rhodesian Ridgeback boy. He measures 27” at the shoulder and is about 40” long from nose to top of his tail bone. He can stretch out fully on this bed. I like that it has an inner removable water resistant cover and a soft, light outer cover. Both covers are easy to take off/on. The zippers are sturdy, the stitching on the outer cover seems well done. It took my boy only a couple of uses to appreciate the extra height/padding and get used to the slight crinkly sound from the inner cover. Since my dog is a “digger” who likes to build a nest, I added a blanket to help protect the outer cover. Now about the foam. I took both covers off and let the bed sit for 3 full days in my warm living room. After 3 days I deemed it ready to use. From past experience with foam mattresses, I expected some unevenness for a good week. This bed was no different. It took about 7 days for all corners and the bolster/headrest to fully expand. Today is day 11 and the bed now measures as advertised all around. Patience is the key with foam beds. I intend to buy a second Kopek bed for my boy’s upstairs bed. ... show more
