I don’t tend to spend so much money on a makeup sharpener. However, I gave this one a chance because the ones I had weren’t any good. I do agree that this Julep makeup sharpener does it’s job really well in sharpening my lip liners without eating them so much since it doesn’t break the tip so easily like other sharpeners tend to do. I like that it has a bottom casing where it catches the shavings. Now the one part I didn’t liked was the clean up afterwards. It’s not easy even with the extra tool that it comes with which it’s supposed to help pick up the gunk left. I had to use a q-tip to somewhat clean it better. Anyways, I would like get an extra one of these though since it does work better than majority of makeup sharpeners out there. Price is pretty hefty though. ... show more

This is a great consistency and really nice looking. The only complaint is that it is really dark. It is black with a hint of purple. Not purple like it is pictured.

I own several pencils from several brands and this line is one of the best. Great color selections, does not irritate your eyes, will last you during the whole workday, and their deep brown shade is truly a deep espresso coffee brown like no other. Love that shade and the smoky taupe.

I really love this eyeliner and it’s one of my top choices when putting on my makeup. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is it isn’t water proof. It will smear. However, if you don’t touch it, it does stay all day. And for this reason, it glides on very smoothly. It’sa gorgeous deep plum.

I've not yet found an eye pencil that will stay on all day. This one, however, is pretty good. It lasts several hours before having to be reapplied if I want to keep looking good through evening. It's very smooth and applies beautifully. I just really really wish it was actually water resistant and smudge proof.     • Beautiful color, but transfers from upper water line to lower.

These are super easy to put on -- they just glide over your lid. The color is very pigmented and nice. The only issue is it transfers quite readily when I put this on my upper water line. It transfers to my lower water line, making it look like I put the same eyeliner on the lower. I've tried using a tiny eyeliner brush to put setting spray over my upper water line on top of the eyeliner, and that only helps somewhat. I like the sparkly Julep shades (like Nude Shimmer and Rose Gold Shimmer) for my lower water line, but these more pigmented shades will have to only be for my upper lash line, unless I want to put it on both my upper and lower water lines. ... show more
