Overall it's a decent bed frame. There was much more pieces than I was expecting, but if you follow the instructions, it is pretty easy to put together. I think it took me about 20 minutes. I was worried that it might be a little wobbly, but once it's finished, it feels pretty stable. My only concern is where the legs are located. I have this thought in my head that I'm going to stub my toe on one of the metal legs, hopefully that never happens. That being said, there is no place to connect the headboard, so I drilled a couple holes through the front rail, and screwed it to my existing headboard, just to keep it very secure. ... show more

    • Too big for a Standard Twin Bed

It was easy to put the frame together but there were these plastic caps that are supposed to hold the slates in place, they broke east and the slates move around. The frame is too big for a twin mattress I bought of Amazon as well.

There were more pieces to this than I was expecting! It went together reasonably easily - although whatever you do don't lose the directions - and it certainly seems to be sturdy enough. It's 60 inches from one edge to the other, so a standard size queen mattress exactly fills the frame. It's a little low to the ground, which I prefer but you may not! So please look at the pictures. You will be able to get some under bed storage, but not cubby boxes etc. If you lay all the parts out and follow the directions it's not too complicated - first you attach the legs at the corners (building the outside frame), then you put the long middle support in place (there are built in slots it fits into), then you click the S shaped rod holders into place, then you put the metal rods across. All of the steps involve various screws and fasteners that I am skipping, but are obvious. The one thing that I will note on construction is that the metal "slats" get two different caps. The end that fits into the S shaped holder on the middle crossbar is a solid plastic cap, and the end that fits into the outside frame is square with a hole in it and clicks into a corresponding square hole on the frame. The washers are nylon threaded to keep them from backing out, and while you can disassemble the whole it's not made to be put together and taken apart time and time again. It's made to be sturdy. A quick note about the slats. The one thing I have noticed is that it's a little difficult to make the bed neatly without anything to tuck the excess sheet into. Whatever is tucked under tends to just hang between the bars. I tried to make sure it looked nice and neat for the pictures, but if you zoom in on the end of the bed in the last picture you will see what I mean. I couldn't get that little bit of sheet to stay in place. So if that bugs you, go ahead and use a boxspring or get a piece of wood to lie on top of the frame. Or even cardboard. Old Amazon boxes! Anything that will give you a solid surface to tuck the sheets on top of. ... show more

This came packaged well, everything was wrapped to prevent scaring/rubbing during shipment and came with extra parts (just in case). Putting it together was not complex, but took longer than the advertised 30 minutes, probably closer to about an hour. They provide small hand tools to tighten the bolts, but I used a small socket wrench set and this made it significantly easier to adequately tighten the bolts/screws. The directions were fairly clear and were a step by step process. The bolts are very close in size, and I recommend while assembling, to make sure they stay in their labeled bags until needed or have an organization in place. Once together, this bed frame seems very stable. It does not really work with a box spring (unless you like to be set up pretty high). There is a good lift from the ground so there's plenty of space to store items under the bed if needed (the cats love it). This made the mattress feel more stable overall. So far, there's been no noise from it and it has stayed tightened (no bolts or screws seem to be wiggling loose). If you're looking for a basic bed frame, this is a good option. One thing to note, it does not seem to have the option to adhere to a headboard, so if that's the plan, this may not be the best option. ... show more

I didn't know what to expect after receiving a smaller box than I had anticipated for a bed-frame, however everything was better than expected, especially once assembled. There is more assembly required than a typical store-bought frame, but once all together it was much stronger than other cheaper options in the same price category. No headboard holes or anything, but it could be modified if you really needed it. Assembly is done easier with your own tools but it can work with everything provided, think Ikea type included tools. All in all a bargain at this price, and I like the higher height than similar models at 14 inches. ... show more

We where looking for a budget friendly frame to put in our Airbnb and this king sized platform frame is perfect. Assembly was not difficult and the directions were easy to follow. It all came together pretty quickly and the end result was a sturdy bed frame. I like that we don't have to use box springs as this will save us money in the long run. My only complaint is that there are no edges to hold the mattress in place. I'm not sure if this will end up being an issue or not but I guess we can just slide the mattress back into place. ... show more

This is a heavy duty bed frame. It is easy to assemble, but there are a lot of parts. More than I 've seen with any other bed frame. It is a frame that does not require a box spring, but I am still using my box spring. Do I have to jump a little to get into bed? Yes, yes I do. With the box spring and the 14in clearance, the bed sits really high. It just felt too low without the box spring. I love the space underneath the bed, which was the main reason for ordering a platform style frame. I don't really have room for dressers and such in my room, so basically the dressers are underneath the bed. One thing I didn't check before ordering was the ability to connect this frame to a headboard. There are no pre-drilled holes for connecting. This is true of most platforms, I just was not aware of that. I used some zips ties to attach the headboard (and a piece of wood to keep from banging against the wall.)
