I like it, but I think it is not a good selection for my gate. Winds are very strong here and I don't think this latch will be able to do the job. But if you have a light gate and winds are normal, I think it would be just fine. There's just too much slack in the latch and I think the winds will just beat the heck out of it. I don’t have kids so it doesn’t bother me but it seems like the inside lift/latch piece is sharp and right at eyeball height on a 9 or 10 year old. This is a potential hazard. Nothing a little grinding can’t fix if it’s a huge concern. Might be a lawsuit waiting to happen if this piece goes through a child’s eye. Other than that it is a great latch and looks amazing! GL-02 model.
