This dock is so simple but yet so useful and effective. I purchased this for a ROG Ally X. I was really looking for a stand but wanted something that could provide power at the same time so the Ally X good run in high performance mode. It was also a bonus that it had a LAN Networking port and the ability to push video to a monitor or TV. I kept comparing available docks within the price range. This costs a little more than some of the competitors but I think the simplicity and design are great and the ports included exactly what I was looking for. The fact that it can come apart into two pieces (the base and the dock) is convenient. It makes it easier to pack into a bag and also if you only want to use the dock while you are out and about it's a minimal space saving option. It has an attached cable to plug into the USB-C power port on the Ally X. It is designed to utilize the Gaming Device's factory AC adapter to power the dock in the specific POWER USB-C port. I was not even looking for the networking cable port but I have used this many times to speed up downloads and updates. It has worked great. I have not tried the 4k output at 120 hz. The Ally X is optimized to game on the builtin 1080p 120hz screen and I have only plugged the dock into an LG 1080p gaming monitor and it worked perfectly. My only complaint about this product is an issue that I experienced just a few times. While I had the device connected to the dock and using the original factory included power supply I have seen a message that said something along the lines of "please use the official power adapter for this device". I did not notice any problems, with performance or anything else, but I just felt to be completely transparent that I would mention it. This is also the reason it gets the 4 out 5 star review. Otherwise it is a great dock.

After doing extensive research to find a good quality affordable dock for the rog ally I was brought here. Have been using for a few days and have had no issues whatsoever. I did get a 100w usb-c laptop charger to use with it so that I could use turbo mode, which works no problem. It does everything I need it to do. The hdmi even supports high fps and 4k. Although only 2 usb-a ports isn't much, it supports usb splitters as well!! I've got a monitor, keyboard & mouse, and external ssd all connected with no issues at all. The instructions mentioned how to do a firmware upgrade, but I found that I did not need to and it was pretty much plug and play. Very happy with my purchase. -Tip for users trying to turn their handheld into a pc; go to display settings and set it to only show the monitor. This will make everything look normal rather than large like it is on the handheld.

It is a good dock. Has a lot of ports and servers it's function. Since the dock is narrow it is some time inconvenient when u have to balance the hand held on it. If not balanced it can be a little unstable. I should have gone with the foldable type of dock. I use this with an Asus ROG Ally.

Looks great and charges ally slowly. Where it falls short is that unless the ally is connected the other plugs don't work and even with the ally connected it's super slow.

It works fenomenal its good, had problems a j5 create one it only delayed 60hz at 1080p but this one can doit to 180hz as of my monitor well it's good but I will buy it with another adapter to get more usb ports
