I bought two of these over a year ago and they're both still going strong after daily use. They extend play for at least a couple hours beyond the system battery, probably longer than that, as I've never run out of power using one of these even during longer gaming sessions. I also occasionally use one to fast charge my phone, as it's very quick restoring my phone to full power. It sits comfortably around the neck and doesn't interfere with play like when I ran a cord from a battery carried in my pocket. It occasionally heats up but never unbearably hot for me. Takes a while to fully charge back up, and as with all batteries I'm leery letting them charge unattended overnight, but I've never experienced an issue or overheating during charging. I highly recommend these as long as they keep making them with the same standards and quality of the two I bought last year.

Does exactly what you need it to do, extend meta game time, this was even able to charge the headset while actively playing a game on it, most I've tried will just hold the power at the level it's being used, I'm not sure if this is a positive or a negative but it's been my experience. Overall fantastic value here I personally like the way the straps that come with the meta work I have tried halo style straps on the psvr2, the rift 2 and some windows mixed reality headsets back in the day and could never get used to the pressure on the back of my head. This setup lets me have an upgraded battery without having to buy an "upgraded" head strap.

Good buy for someone looking to extend their playtime on the quest 3. Takes about 3 hrs to fully charge, I get about 3-4 hrs from the battery depending on what I'm playing and the headset never discharges. Giving me a total of 5-6 hrs. Hanging from the neck is noticeable but not uncomfortable and haven't noticed it getting warm or buzzing like some other reviews. Only downside is you get the battery and the cable but no wall brick to plug it into to charge. I use my quest brick though so it's good. It's a good way to possibly triple your time using a meta quest 3 for a reasonable price without having to buy a new headstrap with battery

I usually don’t write reviews but this is infinitely better than the other options I’ve tried and it’s worth your time and money. So for context I was originally using 2 5000MAH batteries designed for the quest 2 that normally go on the side rail but since the quest 3 didn’t support those, I was using Velcro ties to keep them in the middle of the Kiwi elite strap headband. I absolutely HATED this setup but was too lazy to buy something else. Eventually I caved in and bought this one. I wasn’t too jazzed about the form factor since I hated the idea of having batteries so close to my chest but they wound up being barely noticeable in practice. For my use case they lasted about 5 hours while playing VRchat on virtual desktop on the low streaming settings so your mileage may vary and you may want a second one if you want to run at at a higher preset.. The cable is slightly noticeable at first when plugged in but it doesn’t pull down on the quest at all so it’s good for high motion stuff as well. When actually using it I barely noticed either the cable or the battery pack which is everything to look for with this kind of design. Overall it’s a great value backed by a reliable brand when you consider how bad the quest battery is without it. With this it’s so effortless to just put on your neck and get a long binge of VR after a long day.

Purchased to extend play time with Quest 3. I’ve used it often whenever I get a low battery message from the Quest battery. I’ve used it perhaps 2 hours in one setting and did not run out of juice. No way to monitor the life or remaining power other than some LED lights but it appeared I may have had about 50% of battery life left after 2 hours of quest use. No issues with it falling off, even when I was playing a golf or tennis game

We bought the extra battery that hooks to the top of the VR - essentially sitting on your head. It moved, was heavy and would fall to one side. This neck battery is 100% better! No neck pain, no sliding and provides so much more play time!

I got both this and NEWDERY's similar external neck battery. They seem about the same in terms of battery life and charging speed, despite JSAUX claiming a longer battery life. However, JSAUX's has one fatal flaw that makes it inferior to NEWDERY's: the part of the band that goes behind your neck is thicker and protrudes directly into the back of your neck. Makes it less comfortable for seated use cases in particular. Still does the job, but if you plan to use this seated where you're leaning back against a couch or office chair, I'd recommend NEWDERY's instead. May not matter if you're using it for standing VR, but I actually don't recommend this battery form factor from any brand for more active standing VR. They tend to run at their hottest when playing a VR game. I mainly use mine for seated spatial computing use cases and instead prefer PRISMXR's belt battery for standing VR gaming. I returned the JSAUX battery and will be getting an extra NEWDERY neck battery instead.
