Oh the places you'll go. Bought this tent for $90 which is about the average cost of a hotel night these days. We figured, if it only lasts two nights we will still be ahead in our travel adventures budget. While previously being stuck to day trips to adventure this has allowed us to go further and see more places. We have slept in this tent probably about 20 nights so far this summer in Swingarm City, San Rafael Swell, Moab (Canyonlands & Arches), the La Sal mountains, Telluride, Tetons and more! We bought a cheap full memory foam mattress from Ikea that we roll up and that has been great. We did bend one of the rods for the tent on our last trip so we will see how many more times we can get out of it before it breaks, but we have 4 more trips in the next month to the Sawtooth Mountains, Yellowstone, Bryce & Zion, so hopefully it at least makes it to the end of the season. Well worth it! With two of us, and setting up the whole bed, it takes us about 5 minutes for tear down and set up. We always tear down before sunrise and are setting up after dark so it is convenient how easy and quick the process it; we were even able to get the rain sheet on quickly in the dark when rain started out of nowhere. Only 1 minor complaint is that the straps closest to the truck bed BARELY reach, I wish they gave just a few more inches of length on those two straps. ... show more

Pretty nice tent for an 8ft bed. It's not water proof and the rain fly that comes with it doesn't fit very well but there is plenty of room. Enough room for 2 air mattresses. For the price it's hard to complain. The zipper quality isn't the best but it's to be expected at the price point. My only complaints are that the tent floor is just a little too short to reach the bed of the truck and it didn't fit back in the bag no matter how much I tried to fold it up. You will want to buy a storage bin for this tent if you go to use it. ... show more

I recently took the JOYTUTUS Pickup Truck Tent (5ft 2.0, Orange, Aluminum Pole version) on a camping trip to the Adirondacks, and overall, I was impressed by its performance. Setting it up was fairly straightforward—even solo. The aluminum poles are lightweight but strong, and everything fit snugly into the truck bed (I used it with a 5' short bed). The color-coded poles helped simplify the process. It took me about 20 minutes to fully set it up the first time, and even less after that. Inside, there was plenty of room for two people, along with some gear. The ceiling height was decent—I could sit up comfortably without brushing the roof. The interior pockets were a nice touch for keeping small items organized. The ventilation was also solid, with multiple windows and mesh panels to keep airflow steady without letting bugs in. Note the rain guard was helpful but some condensation build up was present on the interior walls of the tent. Consider coating tent with additional waterproofing membrane. If you're looking for a reliable truck tent for weekend adventures or multi-day trips like our recent ADK excursion, the JOYTUTUS 5ft 2.0 is a solid choice. Great tent. Fairly easy to put up by yourself. First time can be frustrating, but practice makes perfect. Used it in winter camping, in snow, sleet, rain. Stayed warm and dry. It is waterproofed, but would recommend sealing again just to make sure. Only complaint is it has no hooks inside beside the one in the middle at the top of the tent. Had to purchase magnetic hooks to hang my lights. Also would suggest making a designated cable/extension chord entry. ... show more

Exceeded our expectations. This tent is massive. My husband is 6’2” and he can stand up in the middle of the tent. It’s easy to set up with two people. Take down is quick and painless as well.
