Yay! This is a great way to fix an oculus quest 2 controller with stick drift issues. This saves so much money especially compared to buying new controllers. It wasn’t the easiest thing to do and took some patience & time. The repair set didn’t come with any instructions so we had to look it up on YouTube. Had terrible stick drift on both my controllers. Bought these to try to fix them instead of spending two hundred dollars on a pair of new controllers. Watched a YouTube video about 11 minutes long, took me a half hour to replace the first one, the tool kit made things a lot easier. Took about 15 minutes to replace the second one. Both have been working great for about a year, will order again if needed

The instructional video on the product page wasn't hard to follow, and this kind of work is much easier if you have steady hands. If you're not careful with the controller while taking it apart, you can definitely break parts of the controller. This comes with two joysticks, so you can replace both left and right controllers if need be. It also comes with all of the tools you need, but if you have your own favorite screwdriver, that works too. After about a half hour of taking apart the controller and putting it back together again, the drift was gone, and the quality of the joystick already feels better than the ones that the Quest Touch controllers ship with. I got these about a month ago at the time of writing this, and I have no issues with them yet. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that's okay with saving some money by tinkering with the controllers to fix the drifting issues instead of buying another set of controllers.

The analog sticks came with replacement screws and screwdrivers. The installation wasn't what one would call simple, but the parts replaced and performed as well as the old parts before malfunction. P.S. Apply Pressure When Unscrewing To Avoid Stripping Screws. They shred fairly easy, making repair life hard lol.

The YouTube video was easy to follow but I'd definitely recommend only getting this if you have faith in yourself to take apart your controllers without breaking them. I've been using the new joystick for about over month now and the drift hasn't come back. I'd buy again if I needed to

The product itself isn't bad quality, nothing too special, but it does include tools, though not all of which are useful. The included screwdriver is too bulky to fit in order to unscrew some of the small hidden screws. When you take apart the controller, theres a seal around the face panel of it that is destroyed when the panel is removed and the kit doesn't contain a replacement. Without the seal, the face panel doesn't quite sit right on the controller, making it harder to press the buttons. Also, replacing the joystick requires a full disassembly of the joystick, and it can be really easy to damage the electronics in the process. Another important thing to note is that there is a spring in the controller that connects to the joystick which detects when the joystick is touched, if this spring is bent or damaged in the slightest, this detection will not work at all and the kit also does not include a replacement. So while replacing the joystick will eliminate stick drift, it can cause other problems. Ultimately I think that this kit is okay if you're willing to accept that it may be a bit jank, but if you want to maintain the quality of the original controller, it would be better to replace the controller all together. That however is far more expensive. I would say to replace the controller or bring it to get fixed if possible, especially if you do not want to deal with the sensitive electronics.

Controllers were drifting badly and making games unplayable. I followed the written guide by iFixit and didn't notice any missed steps or issues. Just take your time and you'll be fine. Controllers and all the buttons/features are working properly. The first disassembly took some time to make sure I knew what I was doing, but putting it all back together was a breeze and the second controller was real quick once I knew what I was doing.

Wasn't too hard to replace my joysticks. I've had to do it multiple times because I keep wearing out the sticks from playing almost everyday. Ive both the sticks in both controllers about 3 times each now but that's just from my use. Constantly using the joystick buttons is what will wear them out the most so as long as you avoid it as much as possible they should last a while. Whole lot cheaper than getting new controllers or sending them in for repairs.
