I was pushing my 4 year old to ride a balance bike, but he only ride it for about 2-3 mins before giving up. I should have picked this up first, he's been riding it daily with the training wheels and the smile he has is priceless. Assembly was a breeze and the bike is holding up great. I got this for my 2 year old and it is super cute. The tires are nice and a bit bigger than normal which I liked. The only thing I would say is that the training wheels slide after a few rides and they change their position. Other than that its a solid learning bike.

I ordered this bike,16inch in ivory, for my 4 year old for Christmas. She had never ridden on one before, and she is on the shorter side at 41 inches tall. I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it was; however I was a bit concerned she’d be too short for it. However, it fits her perfectly and she loves it. It is quite heavy so it takes a moment for her to get started, but I suspect once she grows a bit more that will not be a problem. It was also very easy to put together (coming from someone who has absolutely no experience with bikes). The only reason I give it a four start instead of a five star is because on her fourth or fifth time riding she pedaled back, and ended up kicking the chain off. There are no instructions on how to get it back on, but I suspect I will have to remove the training wheels, and the chain cover before fixing the chain, and putting it all back together which will take a bit of time. Otherwise it’s wonderful, and definitely worth the purchase! ... show more

I bought this bike for my 5 year old hes a bit smaller than most but reallllly wanted a bike, I'll list the pros and cons and then summarize. Pros -Bike is adjustable for his size -Comes with removable training wheels. -Pretty easy to put together, which is good considering you will be constantly re-putting this bike together everytime something comes loose or falls off. Cons -Chain slips off gears continually. -The wheels nuts continually come loose. -The tires are garbage and don't inflate properly Within the first hour of riding the chain slipped off, this has since happened numerous times, and it's an incredible pain to get back on the gears. Also - NONE of the bolts on the wheels, handlebars etc. stay tight for long. I used the included hand tool at first to tighten the bolts to the point where I couldn't budge them anymore. Yep 1 hour later they came loose, this is super dangerous on the wheel bolts, if these come out while hes riding the wheels could come off. I started using my power tools to retighten but they STILL COME LOOSE. The tires came busted at the seams, doesn't matter how I inflate the air just comes right out, luckily hes light so he doesn't notice hes riding on flat tires. But still. Also its difficult to peddle even for a youngster, the gears are improper sizes so theres a lot of slack in the peddle he has to go halfway around before the pedal 'catches' and starts to move the tire which makes its incredibly difficult to ride even though its a 'beginner bike'. OVERALL - Super disappointed, especially considering the (obviously I realize the were now paid) good reviews. Poor poor quality on the entire bike. I wasn't expecting an incredible bike but I wasn't expecting one that continually falls apart and is so difficult to ride. I figure i'll let him struggle on this for a few more weeks and build some muscle and then when i get him a better one he'll at least be strong enough. AVOID THIS BIKE. ... show more
