My daughter loves the color, which is just like the picture. It was easy to put together and arrived in good shape. She was able to test it out with the training wheels and quickly got the hang of it and wanted them taken off. Good stability and nothing twisting or moving around. One thing that was a little annoying is that the little tools that come with it are flimsy and easily get bent out of shape with normal use. We got this for my granddaughter's first bike last Christmas. Assembly was not intuitive but was relatively easy and I had it together in about an hour or so. It appears to be as advertised, color was right and was shipped intact. Tires needed air and appear to hold air ok. Front brakes were a little tricky to adjust but otherwise work. Granddaughter loves it and it's a big hit. It's a little pricey for what you get but it's sturdy and should last her the next few years. ... show more

The bike is very cute, my daughter loved it....BUT the disappointment on childs face when they can't ride their new bike, because these bikes come with a presta valve and not a standard bike valve and you have to do research to find out what and where to find the adaptor! The bike is sturdy, heavy weight. My daughter loves it. The pliers were not required, the wrench provided was wrong size, used my own, assembly was quite simple: install the front wheel (just squeeze the wheel through the break mechanism) and wheel cover, install the training wheels together with back seat, install the handlebar, pedals and the seat. It was all easy, only I had to do the same things twice as the steps were all broken down into single steps (for example, training wheels and back seat). There was a problem with inflating tires. The valve is neither Shrader nor Presta. It’s a European type (aka Dunlop or Woods valve). The valve holds air very well, but I did not have a pump for the task. ONLY UNSCREW THE BLACK CAP (it’s a dust cap; if you went ahead and took the valve apart like I did, you’ll lose all the air in the tire, but that’s no problem, just put the valve back in place). A video on YouTube suggested using Presta pump, it did not work for me. Bought a $19 Tiakia mini bike pump (it included an adapter to convert the valve to Shrader), was delivered in one day by Amazon, worked perfect. Screwed the tiny adaptor on, screwed on the pump, inflated tires in 30 pumps. ... show more

This is a beautiful bike and appears to be very well-made. However, it was delivered to us with a hole in the rear tube. I was disappointed in this, but it's clearly a fluke issue with the tube and not the bike itself. The bike itself is easy to assemble, well made, and my daughter loves the purple color. I reached out to Joystar directly on their site and they've been incredibly responsive, accommodating, got a new tube out to me very quickly, and have been nothing short of perfect in trying to remedy the problem.
