  • Good for the price
First the service of the delivery was excellent. 2 days later in some pretty secure packaging. So no need to worry about any of that. The pedal itself weighs about the same as a peanut butter sandwich. Or an empty mason jar without the lid. Though it's virtually weightless it's casing isn't too bad. Seems like it would take some damage before crapping the bed. The knobs are also not excellent material yet professionally installed and feel pretty great. The foot switch is probably the weakest component. Feels super cheap and could possibly fail sooner than desired. Plus it itches my pet peeve of adapter input locations. Just look at it and pretend it's all plugged in. It's exactly as annoying as it looks. MXR Carbon Copy is the same way. It's basically impossible to have that pesky power cable (if you have a 1spot) behind all your gear leaving room for tripping on it and falling, or unplugging the pedal completely silencing you in front of a million fans (hopefully). It's not the best chorus pedal. But it's better than most of the more common (and more expensive) chorus pedals. It's no Small Clone by any stretch of the imagination. If you're looking for amazing sound and versatility I'd definitely look elsewhere but if you have a price range and this and others like it fit your needs, I'd recommend this one over the others. All this, It's 5 star for it's price ... show more

  • Chinese Yes But Worthy Of Your Pedalboard
I rarely review products I buy on Amazon and should try to do better about that but I just had to take some time it to write a review for this Pedal. I use a variety of Overdrive Pedals and my board is filled with everything from Chennai Chinese clones to boutique brands and there is no reason why anyone would be ashamed of buying cheap pedals. There are definitely some true gems out there and this Joyo Chorus (Boss Clone) is definitely a keeper. If you search online for a good Chorus Pedal, you will see mentions if Boss and this Joyo clone with most reviews ask saying the same thing, it is top notch and deserves a place in your board. Even if you don't use a Chorus pedal much, you need one and Joyo's pedal is a keeper. Don't hesitate, it's worth it. ... show more

  • Nice pedal, great for clean tones
This is a nice pedal. I got it as an option for making my clean tones a little more interesting, and it does that very nicely. Sound: It can be a very subtle or very obvious effect, but I prefer the subtle side of it. Clean from a neck pickup with the rate at 9 o'clock and the depth at 3 o'clock sounds awesome. Add a little overdrive, and you can also get some cool sounds. If you put on distortion, I think the effect kind of gets lost, but I didn't buy it for that purpose, so no harm done. Build quality: Nice tough stompbox, except for two things. Like the other two Joyo pedals I have (the JF-01 Vintage Overdrive and the JF-17 Extreme Metal), the battery case is cheap plastic lameness. If you use a power supply, this is not a problem. The on/off switch on this disappointed pedal me, it seems less secure and kind of cheap as well. It works, but it doesn't inspire confidence in me as much as the nice switches on the other Joyo pedals. In my opinion, nice subtle sound, good for cleans and overdrive; not for distortion. Good quality for price. ... show more

  • Great CE2 clone
I've purchased several JOYO pedals, so when it came time to replace my Boss CE2 (that a band member absconded with a few years ago) I thought i'd try the JOYO Analog Chorus. This pedal, to my ears, is an exact clone of the CE2, which nowadays go for stupid amounts of money. This pedal could probably sell for twice the price and still be a great deal. JOYO knocked it out of the park with this one. Highly recommended ... show more

  • Close enough for government work
I like the sound of the chorus fairly well. It sounds lush and jangly. A little too jangly though. I have to roll the tone nob on my guitar almost all the way back to use it and I still get some minor upper frequency distortion that seems to happen. There is a slight volume boost but I don't mind it. Some choruses you kick on and wonder where your signal went. Not so with this one. All in all, no better chorus for the money and with some minor adjustments fairly usable. No tone suck either. ... show more

  • Great chorus pedal for bass!
Disclaimer first. I bought this chorus pedal to use with a bass...i don't play/own a guitar, so my opinion applies only to bass guitar. This is a GREAT chorus pedal for bass! I honestly had my doubts as many guitar pedals end up thinning the sound of a bass too much...not this pedal. In all fairness I would like a "dry/wet" dial, but you only get those in high end pedals, but the dials do what they're supposed to and are sensitive enough. Of course being a chorus, it brightens the sound and lowers the bass a little bit, yet remaining very musical. Think of 80's post punk sound, like the cure. Overall, I love it. ... show more

  • Not looking for any Treble...
When the effect is engaged, it seems to add a bit of a bright/treble boost to the signal, especially if the signal is dirty. Not sure if that is just what you get with all Chorus pedals but I have a full Joyo board and this is the only one that I am not 100% satisfied with. If there was a treble scoop switch or control, this thing would be awesome. Still, good pedal for the money. ... show more
