So many cutting boards have cute little areas to catch the juice. Fortunately this one really does catch a lot, and the design makes it easy to move it to the sink without spilling the juices. Of course being a surface that is nice on knives, it does get cut up and so tricky to feel like you're getting it totally clean. Are the people complaining about the cut marks being left behind by knives used to using glass cutting boards or something? I've never owned a non-glass board that didn't get marred with use. That's not a bad thing, it keeps your knives from getting dull. If you're worried about bacteria just spray it down with some anti-bacteria spray or diluted bleach, you're going to wash it after every use anyway, right? ... show more

    • These slanted carving boards are indispensable in my kitchen; I have three and love them!

perhaps 50 years ago I bought a solid maple slanted carving board, which we used for juicy roasts, chicken, and so forth. I loved the design; unlike the flat boards with little gravy. Eventually the board cracked and separated, and I found a New England company that made an expensive version in cherry, maple, and other woods. Lovely but another costly. wood one might crack too. I spotted these Joseph Joseph slanted boards atna great price, started with red and white, got a few for my so in aw, and then bought the grey/blue for me. Though I have other cutting boards - wood, plastic, etc - they ae flat and if I'm using my chef's knife o a pile of onions they fly around and make a bit of a mess, so I thought Id try one of my Joseph Joseph slanted boards for prep work. It was a good idea, I just push my pile of celery, onions,and whatever down into the "well" and keep going, with no mess! My three boards are in constant rotation, and there are usually one or two in the dishwasher every night. The only thing I would like is a smaller one; cut it in half into more of a square and I will use it for smaller jobs, please and thank you! My Joseph Joseph cutting boards are near the top of my "things I can't live without in my kitchen" list! ... show more

This has become my favorite chopping board! The “teeth” are great for keeping meat or veggies from moving around while cutting. I like the raised edges that keep juices from dripping onto my countertop, and this is super easy to clean! I’m going to purchase some as gifts and at least another for myself. I’ve stuck mine in the dishwasher and it’s not damaged it, not sure if that’s recommended though. ... show more

Our family eats a lot of fruit. I have been wanting a cutting board with a lip to make things easier for clean up. Found it! Great sturdy cutting board. The Ridge thing in the middle is super helpful to make sure you will not cut yourself. Love it!
