I haven’t tried cutting anything on it yet, but the board seems to be sturdy and well made. However, I did notice that out of the package it feels dry, like the bamboo hasn’t been treated with anything. I’d strongly recommend applying some food grade mineral oil if you want to prevent it from splitting. The folding feature works as expected though, but don’t try to fold it completely in half or you might stretch the silicone out of shape. This review is coming after I have used this board for not even a year- love the board yet one day I pull it out of my drawer and it falls apart! Literally! Into 3 pieces! This is one of the 3 pieces it fell apart into! Sad but not willing to spend the money on another one!
