These are excellent clamps. After I received them I was at a local big box home improvement store and found them cheaper there! The clamps I purchased from Amazon are as advertised, and I will keep them, but it goes to show that sometimes you can find items on your wish list from a local vendor.

Pro tip, rub a little paraffin wax on the serrated edges right away. Eliminates any roughness in sliding the clamp up and down. I expect these clamps to last a long time. ADDED 8/3: I lowered my rating because one of the clamps was missing the plastic foot. I emailed Great Start Tools twice and left one phone message, never heard back. So, nice clamps, no support from seller.

"You can't have too many clamps" is a truism. Sometimes you need a small clamp to hold something but don't need the 300lb. grip of a $40 clamp. I bought 6 of these and will eventually buy 6 or 12 more, as I seem to always need another. Not for squeezing a bad joint into submission at glue-up. They deform if you reef on the grip to over-tighten, but that's not what these little guys are for. At the table saw, bandsaw, drill press they are a 3rd or 4th hand.

I have a knitting machine and the suction cups are useless on wood where I do my work, so I needed clamps that were easy to use, but would solidly hold the knitting machine steady. These clamps fit the bill. They are heavy duty extra strength strong. They have a lever that allows for quick tightening or removal. They also have a nice twist lever to tighten down the clamp for that last little bit of hold. These hold my knitting machine completely still while I turn the knob and make hats by the dozens... I bought two of them. If something happened to them, or I needed clamps for any other reason, I'd buy them again. They hold tight and are easy to apply and tighten as well as easy to remove. They also have rubber tips on the clamp which helps with the hold as well as protects what they are clamping.

Before I ordered these I was a little doubtful, but when they arrived I was quite impressed. They are very sturdy, I use them to hold down projects such as for sawing, clamping parts together and as a makeshift vice. I have other larger clamps that sometimes get in the way on some of my projects, these little guys are easy to work around.

Logic would say you always need larger clamps however some projects prove that wrong. Bought these for smaller glue ups and tighter spaces. They are great for putting the right amount of pressure where you need it. With these in my shop I can use my larger clamps for bigger work while saving space with these. Wish I would have bought them sooner.

You might not think you would have much use for a 4" clamp, but when you have a few of them it is surprising how often one uses clamps on something thin and small. These clamps are shorter for "light duty," but they are not light or thin: they have plenty of clamping power. Good threads as is typical of Jorgensen.
