I have used this shampoo for 20+ years. My mom is a retired cosmetology instructor and she gave me this to try. I was having trouble with my color treated hair. It was breaking, dry, falling out, and just looked a mess. Within a week, there was a huge difference in texture, color and shine. I also noticed less hair falling out. I used Joico about 20 years ago when it was recommended by a modeling agency because it was said to be one of the few shampoos and conditioners that penetrated the hair shaft instead of weighing it down. And it did. This product does not seem the same. Although you get a lot of shampoo for the money, the smell is more like what you'd get with Pantene and I'm surprised to see that the second ingredient is Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which is not recommended for color treated hair. I already used some of it, so won't send back but I do not recommend it. ... show more

Been using joico color therapy for years. New bottle, same great product. Not overly sudsy, unless you use too much or your hair isn't very dirty, so it lasts quite a while. Usually you don't need much even with long hair. Scent isn't too strong and is pleasant.
