I toned it down with a healthier color depositing mask and that was a huge mistake. As it washed out I was left with...red. Not happy at all, I almost reached for hair color again, which probably would have sent my hair breaking off again. But I used this instead, and it saved my hair. Does it have the best ingredients? No. But my hair is softer than it has been in years, and it matches my natural color. I can focus on hair growth and never touch a box of hair color again. I wasn’t even sure it was working until I stopped using it for about two weeks. Definitely cuts down on the brassiness. Worlds great and makes my hair sooo soft and shiny. Nice smell and leaves your hair shiny and a definite deeper brown color. Does not cover gray at all. Some reviewers say it blends gray hair to a lighter blonde/ brown color. I was hoping this would be the case to cut down on regular touch ups with permanent dye. This was not the case for me at all. I used it every day for 5 days and as I said- my hair was shiny and darker but there was no blending of the gray at all. This is a wonderful way to darken brown hair. I am trying to eliminate some old brassy highlights. I make sure I put the Color Deepening Treatment on. I then put it all over to blend everything together. I love this product! I recommend it to all who would benefit from its use.
