First off customer service was awesome. The bed is very nice and sturdy. We set our adjustable split king inside and it fit very nicely so we are not using the mattress support at all. My wife complained about the smell at first but a few applications of fabric freshener spray removed it after a couple of weeks. This is a very attractive piece and we are completely satisfied.     • Smells horrible
The bed is BIG,beautiful and sturdy. The bed is designed to be used without a box spring however the slats will not hold up very long without one. I have been using with out a boxspring for a few weeks and I already see the slats weakening. I am a single woman 190 lbs. (just ordered my boxspirng yesterday). This bed smells GROSS. So fishy. it’s a very loud, funky smell. I leave my windows open when I’m not home to let the bed air out but when I get home and close the window the smells starts creeping back up my nose. I’ve sprayed the bed with fabric sprays and wiped it down with a warm bleach rag. It helped but the smell isn’t gone completely and I don’t want to ruin the material by putting too many products on it. Lastly the bed frame is longer than my mattress. There’s an awkward empty space at the end of the bed between the foot board and mattress. No big deal but for some it might be. ... show more

This bed was honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon. I overall rate this bed 5 stars it’s sturdy, it was easy to put together and I am a girl and I put this bed together all by myself. It took me about an hour or an hour and 30 minutes at the most.
