  • Fits well
Haven’t had a chance to try it out but I don’t anticipate any problems

  • Canon 1D X MIII - 4th aftermarket eyecup...
and it actually fits! Finally! FFS, Who would imagine it would be so hard to find an eyepiece for Canons Flagship... the 1D X MIII? 4-Stars overall- 1) I don't inflate my ratings as most do. 2) It could have a more substantial base and click or something when placed on the camera in position, mine didn't but it is secure. 3) Unsure what the actual eyecup is made of and how it will hold up to heat above 110f or cold down to 20f. Will it stiffen and crack or melt in my gear bag? 4) How will it deal with being taken off and put back on? These are the unknowns and why I removed a point, now for the known and why it didn't simply get 3-Stars. 1) It actually fits, after 3 FAILS! 2) It seems solidly attached, granted I have had it for only 3 weeks now, 3 weeks and 4 football games, 2 volleyball games, 3 pep rallies, and a weekend trip to South Padre Island and walking/driving on the beach plus a few product shots. Basically, this means that I have already brutalized this eyecup by taking it in and out of my camera backpack, my Pelican camera box, or simply holding my camera in my hand with the back of my camera (hence the eyecup) rubbing against my leg. Whenever I replace my camera I palm the eyecup to flatten it somewhat, but there are times that I have just rested it in my backpack or case and it catches a divider and hangs on the protruding eyecup, the eyecup stays firm. Currently, there are no negatives (only unknowns) and only positive things to report about this eyecup. And at a whole $10 it is well worth it. Good Hunting!!!! ... show more

  • Great add-on to my 1Dx Mark III
I own a Canon 1Dx Mark III. I do a lot of outdoor shooting in harsh sunlight. This eyepiece does an exceptional job of preventing sunlight from entering the viewfinder, allowing me to get a much clearer and cleaner view. I read reviews where customers noted the eyepiece falling off. I have never had that issue. The only way I can see that happening is if this attachment wasn't attached properly in the first place. But once this is on, I just don't see it "falling" off. And I walk around with my camera on my sling brushing up against me and my bags. No issue. I would recommend and buy again. ... show more

  • Sturdy, Mostly comfortable but comes off easily.
The eye cup is perfect as it is able to turn and Fit to your comfort. I use it to keep my cheek from touching the screen with sunscreen on. The rubber is a little stiff but maybe it’ll soften up with time. One thing I did notice that was several times it seem to slip off quite easily and almost lost it on my trip. ... show more

  • Excelente
Es excelente para trabajar con gafas y sobre todo permite ver claramente el monitor de la cámara en exteriores de día, bloqueando el paso de luz alrededor del ojo. Para mí ha sido una excelente adquisición. Muy buena inversión. Gracias y Bendiciones.

  • This was a waste of $13
So I was excited to get this thing and immediately put it on my 5D mark III, That weekend I went to the mountains to do some night sky shooting and the next morning as I prepared everything so I can go and take more landscapes I noticed the thing was gone. I thought maybe It fell off in my bag, nope. I went back to where I was shooting the night before and low and behold, there it was in the grass. I picked it up, dried it off and put it back on the camera then put the camera in the bag. After hiking to my next spot for landscapes I set up my tripod and other gear, reached in my bag, pulled out my camera and what do you know... it fell off again when it pulled the camera out of my bag. perplexed, I again placed it on the camera, making sure that it was on correctly. I then took my camera turned it upside down and shook vigorously and sure enough the eyepiece fell off again. This was a waste of $13. I would not recommend it in any way shape or form! ... show more

  • Works great
Soft rubber, so keep that in mind if you're allergic, however these are great for keeping light out of your viewing eye. As a semi-pro sports photographer, I need to have these. Brilliant product.
