These inexpensive hot shoe cover caps are exactly what they say they are and a must have. Mine are for my Nikon Z6ii cameras. The originals are easily lost when switching to and from on-camera flash in a hurry. Having spares help to protect the camera from damage and moisture.

Firstly, my past experience with JJC products has been positive. However, this particular example of one of their products, a camera hot shoe bracket protector, did not fit my Nikon D5500 hot shoe bracket as advertised. I'm well experienced with hot shoe protectors. They should be pretty snug so they don't fall out. This one made me feel like Cinderella's step-sister trying to squeeze her size 10 foot into a size 8 glass slipper. Instead of the hassle of returning such an inexpensive item I opted to shave the sides slightly with a wood chisel. Voila! A custom fit. Considering the close tolerances such a part must meet, I'd bet if I reordered this item in the future it would fit perfectly. I was probably just unlucky this time.
