I remember using these as a kid after a particular dentist's visit. So, when I saw them available, I thought it would be fun to let my kids get a chance to try them out in an effort to improve their brushing habits. I think I know now why my parents didn't let me use them more often, because although they are effective, they are very messy. There is a very present concern that the dye in these tablets would get onto pajamas or school clothes, so definitely be aware of that ahead of time. As far as effectiveness goes, they work very well, although it's not immediately clear if they only stick to plaque as promised or if they simply stain your teeth temporarily to encourage a thorough round of brushing. Either way, they do certainly help kids realize spots that they are missing in their daily brushing routine, so for that reason alone, they're great. I appreciate that this package comes with such a high quantity, but, given the messiness involved, I can't imagine I would use these more than once every few weeks. There were no complaints about the taste, so there was no issue with getting them to join in on the fun. If you are a parent that is struggling to get your kids to brush for the appropriate amount of time, or if they are consistently missing certain spots in their teeth, these would be a great way to help them visualize the correct method of brushing. Just be aware that you'll need to be extra careful not to get the color on your clothes or towels.

You get 150 tablets in a bottle and they are effective at showing missing plaque on teeth. However, they are extremely messy. The dye stains everything it touches. I would advise using them in a shower or in clothes you don't care about and brushing right after. My hands had the dye just by handling it and didn't realize I wiped it on my towel. It took bleach to remove the stains. It did show what it's meant for however. I just wish the dye was easier to remove. Even on my teeth, I had to brush twice to get rid of it completely.

These disclosing tablets contain a strong blue dye that is designed to stick to plaque. I have solid dental hygiene, so for me personally they didn't reveal much other than collecting more in the spaces between teeth. So I can say with confidence that they don't randomly highlight spots to trick you into thinking the product is doing something. So it stands that if other folks get spots where they actually have plaque, this is a solid product that you can rely on. As far as complaints about stains go, I was careful to not get it on my clothes, and turned on the water in my sink before spitting only into the water running into the drain, and it all got washed away without issue. So if you're looking for disclosing tablets, these are a pretty safe bet.
