When my elderly dog started to slip on the kitchen floor, I knew I needed something to cover them. I couldn’t believe the price of rugs, especially when it’s a need right now rather than an aesthetic “want”. I found a pattern in these rugs that was on sale and carpeted my kitchen for next to nothing. They’re laying pretty flat by morning and while they aren’t super thick they’re soft. My dog is always choosing hard floors over beds, but she likes these rugs! They don’t slip around on the floor (unless the cat is running at Mach bajeezus) and don’t have any off putting smell. Why did you pick this product vs others?: This rug is great. The stains come out so easily it’s nonslip super washable. I have two kids and a dog so things get messy. I’ve had this rug for one year and gave it four stars only because the fabric is coming apart from the nonstick base after a year of washes otherwise amazing ... show more

The rug looked lovely for about two weeks. Then I washed it once (exactly as the tag instructed) and it completely lost its shape. The edges curled, the middle puckered, and the design looked faded and worn. It now slides around like a giant piece of fabric with no grip, making it unsafe and ugly.
