I bought both colors because I couldn't choose between Brick Red and Light Red. Pics for comparison. Light Red is lovely! Brick Red is much, much more brown than expected (more brown than the picture captures) and has a few random yellow tones that reminded me of stains, with the powder blue setting them off weirdly. Ultimately I couldn't cope with it and will be returning - maybe it is in combination with my ugly brown couches that made me hate it. The light Red is LOVELY and bright, with a lot more white - it just looks cleaner (though still more brown/orange than red). I am putting it in my kitchen as it is washable. The rugs come slightly wrinkled when unfolded but quickly level out, thin as expected. No smell. They aren't rough, but certainly not soft either. Rug burn is a huge possibility for the kiddos - in fact I got one just unpacking these rugs. More for aesthetic than comfort. I recommend a rug pad for living room rug. ... show more

I bought three of these runners; 2x6, 2x7, 2x8. They are just as pictured. I was slightly surprised by how thin they are though. I placed them in my hallway before the rug pad arrived and it felt like we were walking on the bare floors with thin hotel towels thrown down. The rugs definitely need a nonslip rug pad, and I recommend getting one with some thickness because of how thin the rug is (we used a 1/4 inch thick rug pad). On another note, they are very easy to clean! Within the first week of having these bad boys, my cat threw up on one and my husband spilled rusty water on another. Both stains came out with minimal effort using dish soap and water. TL;DR - thin rugs that won't stay in place on bare floor, so buy a nonslip rug pad that has some padding to it. I purchased this rug in light red. I was hesitant due to the colors. It definitely pulls more caramel/brownish with cream and specks of blue and dark grey.
