Easy to put together. Not too many parts. Check for the instuctions booklet in one of the pockets. Required a little strength and patience aligning the second screw and washers on the backrest part while keeping all the washers together. But I did it at 71 yo. Could have used a second pair of hands to hold the back part still and the holes aligned while I screwed the screw and the 3 little “washers” in. Looks very nice, it’s very comfortable and sturdy. I'm starting with 5 stars, because I lov'in everything about this chair right now. Assembly is easy, check the flaps on the ottoman for instructions. 2 screws in the back, 2 screws for each arm, and 4 screws for the ottoman. It took longer to cut all the protective paper off. For me, the Cushions are well padded and comfy. The glide on both chair and ottoman are smooth. Very happy with my purchase, and will recommend. I will also updated as needed. ... show more

    • Assembly instructions were HIDDEN!
When we got to the ottoman piece, THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE LOCATED UNDER THE FLAPS OF THE CUSHION, completely invisible!! We received this today, actually 4 days earlier than the promised delivery time. The box was upside down and the tape across the bottom seam was cut or torn almost all the way across, and the box was somewhat banged up. In spite of that, the contents appeared undisturbed. After unpacking and spending quite a bit of time removing paper and tape wrapping around the metal frame pieces, we searched in vain for instructions, finally gave up and assembled it based on best guesses. It is mostly pre-assembled, parts and inevitable Allen wrench and screws and washers packed in a divided sealed bubble sheet, only 10 screws. The back and seat cushion have slide on pockets, which led both of us to wonder about long term durability. When we got to the ottoman piece, THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE LOCATED UNDER THE FLAPS OF THE CUSHION, completely invisible!! We discovered that we had only gotten a couple of washer things wrong, but that cost them a star on the review... Otherwise, it is very cushy and comfy, especially the back and armrests, but tighter through the hips than expected. This is not a problem for us, but if you are generously proportioned in that area, be advised. The seat and ottoman height are just right. It appears and feels sturdy and reasonably well made, all in all, good value for the reasonable price.     • Comfy chair, but makes an unbearable squeaking sound while rocking
One star because chair cannot serve the purpose I need it to. Bought this chair to serve as an office chair that I can also rock my infant daughter in while I work from home. It's a comfortable and attractive chair. However, BEWARE - anytime anyone tries to rock in it, even a little, it emits this loud, terrible squeaking sound. The sound it so bad that I can't rock my daughter in the chair because it startles her awake each time. So, in the end, it's not able to serve the purpose I bought it for. I may end up returning it. My husband has tried to identify the source of the squeaking, but has not been successful so far. ... show more

    • I am very disappointed
I bought two chairs with high expectations. One is perfect but the second is a far different story. From the first day it has squeaked with the slightest movement at a sharp, ear piercing pitch! Rocking is impossible and we all avoid this chair. I followed all suggestions WD 40, graphite, checking for loose screws and nothing has helped. We added a lot of grease and let it sit for almost two weeks with no improvement. Though the chair is comfortable I cannot recommend it. ... show more
