Great set for occasional repair of my plantation shutters. Easy to use - just look up some YouTube videos to learn how to do it and you're off and running. Pretty much all you need is some good pliers and maybe some glue. The materials are good quality and great value. Way cheaper than paying a repair person to come repair your shutters. They fit my shutters great and do what they are supposed to do.

These parts work very well. They make it possible to replace broken shutter pins without having to pull the whole assembly apart. One pin replaces a stock pin while the other is spring loaded to allow reassembly. Be aware of two things: The spring loaded pin is longer than the part it replaces, and the other has a thicker pivot. You will have to drill the hole on the spring loaded pin deeper and ream out the pivot hole on the other side just slightly. It's a pain to put the pivot staples back in and then fiddle the pins in place. The end result works very well however.

Worked pretty well but I had to drill out the receiving shutter hole to get it to fit. Overall pleased and would have bought it again even know that I needed to tweak the shutter.

If this fits for you, it should be easy to install. I had it installed before I saw the delivery driver leave. But it kept popping out. My challenge is the length of the pin which slides into the blind. These pins are a *little* shorter than advertised and the rounded end is not usable because the blind can’t reliably use that distance. If your blinds have very tight tolerances within their frame, these may work well. But my blinds have about an eighth of an inch of play within the frame. The roughly sixteenth of an inch shorter than advertised plus any play your blinds have within the frame plus the rounded end at the end of the pin are how much you should subtract from the total length of the pin when doing your assessment of whether these will work for you. I cut one of longer, thin shafts off the skinny, rigid pins which come with this order and used it to replace one of the short, rounded pins - keeping the seat and spring. I was kind of proud of myself until I realized I could have just done this fix with the spring and button of a clicky/retractable pen. Put a spring in the frame and the button from the pen or any pin small enough to fit in the frame and blind but large enough to fully sit on the spring. For what they are, they seem perfectly functional, but considering the impact the incorrect dimensions had on my application, they are effectively useless to me. For these reasons, three stars seems fair.

If you have interior window plantation shutters you need to have these on-hand. These spring buttons hold the shutter blades in place. After years of opening and shutting some are certain to break. The old ones pull out and these push in. Not quite that easy, but watch a few videos for guidance. Once you work the blade with the broken button around to clear the shutter framing, that provides the needed clearance to do the replacement.
