This has a slight tint to it so you can see where you’ve applied product to ensure even coverage. The foam has minimal scent and does not irritate the skin. I recommend using a tanning mitt for easier and smoother application. I did one layer one day and a second the next. Wonderful product! Only takes a few minutes to dry adds instant color but the longer you leave on the darker it can be. Lasts a week or two on me personally. Leaves my skin soft and smooth. A little sticky at first but that goes away. The only reason for four stars is smell. When it's first applied it smells great. After a couple hours it starts to smell like the typical tan spray stuff. So I recommend putting it on before bed and shower in the morning. I find after I shower the smell is gone and I'm left with a wonderful tan. Not to dark but perfect. I'll buy again. My husband hates the after smell so I try to do it when he's busy lol. As a pale girlie I’ve tried several expensive self tanners to give myself a glow. Somehow I always come back to this one. Jergen’s is solid & has been around forever for a reason. It’s just that good and reliable at a reasonable price. This foaming tanner has more of a bronze, reddish warm base than cool toned brown or blue which ends up looking natural for my skin type. I apply evenly with a mit. I usually sleep in it (it has gotten on my white sheets but usually washes out) and rinse my first rinse without soap to maintain the color. I’ve tried so many self-tanners and this is the only one I keep coming back to, I even subscribed to get it every 3 months… I’m super pale, and the color actually looks sun-kissed, not orange, not muddy, just a beautiful bronze. It goes on like a mousse, blends easily, and never looks patchy (even around tricky spots like knees or elbows). I love that it dries quickly too, so I can get dressed without feeling sticky. This stuff works decently well. You will notice a difference within a couple of days. Will you look like you’ve been gloriously basking in the sun? No. Will you look like you used self tanner on your face and be ever so slightly orange? Yes. The orange isn’t very noticeable except around my hairline and there is no way around that unless you want to dye some of your hair with this stuff.
