Just got this unit during 2023 prime day sale, unit arrived fine and just got it installed. Head unit works fine but Wireless android auto does NOT work on my device apparently. I have a Samsung Z Fold 4 and assumed it would work since I'm on a new version of Android but isn't the case. I assume it works fine with non folding devices. Update: 8/17/2023 Samsung Fold 4 got a firmware update. This fixed the wireless android auto and now I can connect wireless to the head unit. Side note: I read on Reddit that other users had a similar issue with the Samsung Fold 4 and they downgraded their Android auto to fix the wireless connection issue but that didn't work for me. It kept prompting to update the Android auto app after I tried downgrading ... show more

A cheaply priced wireless carplay unit however works great. The carplay connectivity is great with no drops, the wiring harness is well built. The touchscreen is super responsive, the outputs are static free. A volume knob would've been great, but cant have it all

Style: 7" Wireless Double Din Stereo
I would actually rate this Jensen head unit a 3.5 instead of a 3 but it is not an option. Firstly and really important, the unit shipped and arrive on time and the seller was really responsive and helpful for troubleshooting some concerns I had. The main items that need to be taken into account here is that this Jenson has a much higher display resolution to equivalent Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer head units. It also is WIRELESS Android Auto/ Apple Car Play as this is huge deal at this price point. It comes with the main radio harness, GPS antenna, hardwired USB plug and radio frame. You will need to buy separately the corresponding harness adaptor, dash kit, steering wheel control interface (if you want to retain steering wheel controls) and Sirius XM Adaptor (if you want satellite radio). For those who have installed an aftermarket radio before, there is nothing different here. Pros: Easy to use Easy install Fast start up Great Screen Lots of pre outs Shallow Chassis The touch screen is responsive WIRELESS Android Auto/Apple Car Play Navigating the menu is easy and basic (almost too basic) but it gets the job done. Interface is easy to user and the radio seamlessly flips between the different sources Minor Cons: The EQ is limited with only 8 bands so there are some trade offs when you are trying to dial in the perfect sound. When two devices are connected to the radio, it can get cumbersome trying to select which device should be the priority one. It seems as if the wrong device connects all the time and I have to make manual adjustments. Cons: I had to request a replacement right away because of a static interference that the radio was throwing off at low volumes. I trouble shot this with the seller, Jensen Direct, PAC (SWC Interface) module company and Amazon (they were no help but were nice). And low volume there is an audible static that I cannot get rid of. This is not my first radio install and I soldered all wires, taped than away from speaker wires, checked grounds and antenna adaptors. After I get the second radio as a replacement, I took even more care to do a flawless install and while much less, there is still a low level static noise at low volumes. Is it noticeable, to me, yes. The only thing I am left to surmise here is that this Jensen head unit has more low level floor noise than comparable radios. Is it a deal breaker, no but it's close. Audiophiles may find it harder to look past but once the radio volume is up a bit, this seems be less noticeable. I drive a lot and like the radio on the lower end volume like white noise so I will need some time to determine if the Pros of this radio outweigh the one big con. For now, I am sticking with it. Maybe your particular set up and car will not have the same interference I have and if that is the case, this radio would get a 5 star from me. ... show more

Overall, the stereo is great, the installation was easy, and the sound and functions are all good... with the exception of it being the wrong item. I ordered the J1CA7W for the wireless CarPlay, and that was the box that was shipped. It wasn't until I'd installed it and was setting up all the functions and CarPlay and couldn't figure out why I couldn't do wireless that I noticed the actual product was the J1CA7 - without the Wireless function. Dear Seller - I'd really like the wireless version, but have gone through the hassle of setup, so wondering what options I might have, since I was already charged for the Wireless version. ... show more

Turned out this double din stereo was actually pretty good, I was very skeptical due to the price and really never had used Jensen before, iv heard of them and seen them around. Great little head unit works exactly how I wanted, the connectivity to Apple is great, screen resolution is good. Sound quality is ok but would does need an amp. The only downfall I see is that you are not able to adjust the picture for the camera, but saying that the picture quality of the camera is ok and far better than the old one I had before. ... show more
