What the heck kind of title is that you might ask??? I have latest Apple Air Pods Pro... and it hard to compare yet I cheerfully have both. I constantly fret about losing my Apple buds with the charge down so I cant find them. It takes all the fun out of it for me. ALSO the Apple don't have the base that I really like. I didn't want to get the JBL cheapest nor did I want to get the several hundred dollar version either. I have to compromise.. so .. HOPEFULLY this is helpful to someone on the fence like I was. 1) JBL never feel secure in my ear and in trying to get them secure I inadvertently reset or constantly cycle them. However.. Once in my ear.. and seated.. they are nice.. stay put and don't have that look I detest about my Aplle ones.. I got the BLACK JBL TUNE BUDS 2 and they sort of dont stand out. I hate the look that my ears always have a "Runny Nose" look.. the dangling white thing hanging down.. I really appreciate JBL black. 2) I have a very hard time figuring out how much charge is in my JBL Tune Buds. I only have battery clues that are in the 3 white lights on the front of the case. Fine... but I am never sure what charge is where and if buds are charged totally etc. HOWEVER.. the JBL last through the night for me. Apple seldom makes it ever so I have to use only one Apple bud at a time. I really like the immersion of 2 buds to help sleep. AND>>> the JBL seem to last, for me, about twice as long as the Apple ones. Still.. I never know what condition my c ondition is in HOWEVER.. if I get in a pinch.. I can drop back to 1 bud and go on forever with the JBL. 3) The range .. for me.. is less for the JBL than the Apple HOWEVER.. the JBL really are worth the slight drop in distance due to the lovely lovely BASS.. I love Bass. That would make it hard for me to ditch or ghost the JBL. I have 4 sets of buds.. A couple free sent for evaluation... however none stand up the quality of Apple Or JBL. My evaluation free ones were in the $100 range so I feel the comparison is valid. In conclusion... If you don't want that apple signature drippy white thing hanging down from your ear and you like a GOOOOD Bass thump and a REASONABLY fair price ... I think this is the one f or you. The lack of a good battery is still an issue but nor a deal breaker. It is made up for by insanely fast charge and long battery life.... Truly hope this helps a fence straddler.. Cheers ... show more

A beautiful symphony of sound, the quality is amazing, the connectivity is beautiful, the battery life is basically almost lasting 10 hours straight just from one listen and the battery is charged so quickly, only thing is sometimes the percentages shown on the phone for the headphones or sometimes a little bit screwy but overall best product best company and the volume controls and connectivity are such a sweet deal and overall the best product even better than Apple and works really well with Android phones and as for the controls the controls are pretty easy double tapping the left for ambient aware and noise canceling and the Right double tapping for changing music and tapping once to pause music it's basically the best thing ever and phone calls are easy to hear too ... show more

Left earbud was not working out of the box and could not be revived. Shame. 2nd pair thankfully arrived fully functional. Earbuds sound great and the anc is decent. No Spatial Audio though. Cannot give 5 stars because the first pair was a bad pair.

    • Worthwhile Upgrade from Original Tune Buds

My original Tune Buds (1st gen?), which despite some downsides I really liked, finally gave out, so I ordered these. I'm not disappointed at all, although it looks like the price has doubled since I bought them. They fit great and, to my ears, they sound a little clearer and with a somewhat more extended frequency response than the original. This is a purely subjective observation and could be due to any number of factors, from possible gradual degradation of sound quality in my old set to simply fitting slightly better in my ear. Small tweaks to the design also seem to have addressed the downsides I experienced with the old set. One of the biggest annoyances was that the buds didn't sit firmly in the charging case, so every once in a while, one bud would charge and the other wouldn't, which may have been part of what led to their eventual demise. It's also easier to tell what and where you're touching while the buds are in your ear, thanks to the slightly squarer design, something I feel is very important for ear buds where the controls are all touch-sensitive. ... show more

I am a indecisive person when it comes to shopping. I didnt know how these would do while being active. They looked like they would fall out of my ear. After having them for a couple weeks now I have to say that I am glad that I got them. The bass in them is great and you can switch between noise cancelling and ambient sound. So when I am at work I can put them on ambient and hear everything around me and when I am at home I switch to noise cancelling. They are so comfortable that you forget that they are there. Likely will be returning these which is unfortunate because the fit seems good and the sound quality is good. However even though the information I saw in various places made it seem the controls were customizable, they are not! You can pick from 3 presets (playback, noise, volume control) for each earbud to control. This means you cannot customize your right earbud to do something like Tap - pause 2 tap - volume up 3 tap - volume down Long hold - ANC/pass through cycle. This is a big deal for me, as I often operate with just one headphone in and would like certain controls to be available on my singular earbud ... show more

These buds work great! I gave them 4 stars because i was hoping for a bit more bass given the price point. With that said, every other aspect of them is spot on! They are receptive to input with your fingers, the app works well, they connect well and the sound quality is quite high!
