    • Good but low volume/sensitively compared to my old wireless cans
These do everything I needed them to do. Previously had a pair of generic chinese-brand bluetooth headphones and there was terrible lag + they would go into sleep mode within 30 seconds if there was an audio lull. These JBL 2.4Ghz headphones have NO LAG and don't go into standby within a ridiculously short time - the 2 major issues I had with my previous cans. Sound quality is certainly superior too. Battery life is very good (I get about a week - 3 hours a night - at 65% volume). However, you'll likely need to really crank the volume up on these - we're talking TO THE MAX - to get it at acceptable levels. I'm using Windows 10 and the volume is just too low on default equalizer settings. But if you search the Amazon reviews here you'll find a great tip on how to crank up all the equalizer settings in the JBL Quantum software (except for one) and it will give you about a 25-30 db boost in volume without sacrificing sound quality. If I didn't find this tip I would have likely returned these headphones, thinking they were defective. Overall, worth the $95 shipped I paid when they on sale last month but perhaps not the full MSRP of $150. So pull the trigger when they're on sale but not at full price. ... show more

    • Love this headset. Best one I have ever owned!
The sound quality on this is excellent! Awesome bass and clear audio. When I am in Discord or Teamspeak everyone can hear me very clearly via the mic. I love the fact that you can independently control game audio and chat audio. It actually shows up as two different audio options on my PC...one says "Game" and the other says "Chat". Battery life is very good, though I haven't tested how long it lasts because I charge it after a couple of uses. It has a bit of weight to it and I am not sure if that is because of the battery or speaker magnets...maybe both. I actually had purchased a different headset the same day but then saw that this was on sale and canceled the first one and got this instead. So glad I did. I love JBL products and own multiple other JBL speakers. This is as good as the others. ... show more

    • Dongle not console compatible
Tried to use dongle on Xbox and it connected but wasn't able to receive audio. If you plug in direct to controller then it works great without turning it on the headset. If you turn the headset on and plugged in, it seems to fight with itself. Sound quality goes way down.

I have own sony, turtle beach and razer headsets and this one is by far my favorite. The 3d surround sound is amazing!! I play mainly fps games on my pc, I can hear footsteps so precisely its outstanding! I'd highly recommend!! spend the extra money it's worth every penny. God Bless

    • Not the best for consoles - Review based on PS5 performance.
Reviews seemed to indicate that the drivers for the surroundsound you can install on PC make these sound pretty amazing (I have not tried them on PC so I can't confirm this), but the instructions seem to indicate that none of the consoles support it. I use mine on PS5 and it's a step up from earbuds by a bit of a margin, but the 3D sound is lacking, as well as the bass. If you can get these at a good price, they may be worth it, but explore your options before you do - There seem to be better headphones for Sony's 3D sound that I should've bought instead, but I did keep these regardless. ... show more
